La Quirinale is a beautiful property, centrally located in a very nicer area of Rome, and within walking distance of the central train station and many famous sights. The staff are excellent and the restaurant is worth a visit. The only problem was a mix-up regarding the pre-arranged pick-up at the cruise terminal but, in the end, it worked to our advantage as the cruise line got us a much better deal last minute on a taxi to the hotel.

It was nice. Good location and clean. Our breakfast was really late though and we had places to go so we never got to eat it. The AC also didnt get cold enough so it was warm, we had to open the windows.

Charming but In Need of Renovation
The hotel is charming in its antiquity but clearly in need of renovations. While it retains character, certain aspects such as the bathroom, sewage system, electricity, and lighting are outdated and in need of attention. The tiles in the bathroom were broken, which gave a feeling of uncleanliness, and the ceiling light was hanging loose, exposing the electricity cables. The breakfast, though decent, and the breakfast room itself was uncomfortably chilly. On the plus side, the room was spacious with high ceilings, and the inner garden provided a lovely view. Overall, while there are some positives, the property would benefit greatly from an update to improve its functionality and comfort.

Good Value
Very nice hotel, reasonably priced, perfectly located, lovely breakfast. This is our go-to hotel for Rome. Had a bit of a service hiccup at dinner in the restaurant, but will return on our next trip.

The hotel is beautiful! Rooms were spacious, for European rooms!! Water pressure, not the best. We were overcharged in tbe bar one evening, but didn't realize until the next day, so our mistake.

The hotel has history (particularly of opera) and an air of delightful faded elegance. Its location makes it an easy walk from Termini and on a major shopping thoroughfare. I recommend the buffet breakfast, which is a great start to the day. The only bad thing, surprisingly, was the machine-made coffee. Awful. But I was offered and thenceforth requested a cappuccino to order, which was excellent. The cleaning staff did an outstanding job and the front desk and buffet staff were very accommodating. There is a luggage room available before check-in. Quibbles? The bathroom could use washcloths and the TV should have been hooked up to the internet (and also should have allowed cellphone connection). I would stay at this hotel again.

The pictures on the website of the small room didn't resemble the room allocated they gave the wrong impression. We moved rooms once as the view was of some sort of machinery. The new room still did not resemble the website,the shower head fell off and fan didn't work. However these were fixed that day. The maintenance man helped show how to get the WiFi and casting system to work,he was very good. The food was excellent although my friend was served a meat burger instead of a veggie burger which was upsetting. The staff were very friendly and helpful,the grounds beautiful. The staff were very approachable and organised taxis for us. We have stayed at 4 star hotels in Venice, Sorrento, Florence and Verona and this did not match. You do expect to pay more in Rome, maybe we should have booked a bigger room. It is a beautiful building with good staff.
