Just a great place to eat drink and sleep credit to all at royal staff so good from booking in bar staff and the wonderful lady at breakfast. I travel the uk on bussiness and this is one of the best places to stay breakfast is the best i have had for a while Well done keep it up

Slept well

We had to change our booking - a long story but Sally at front desk was helpful in making sure everything was sorted. It's a shame we had to check out a day earlier than planned as our first night there was excellent - I slept brilliantly. If they could offer more dog friendly rooms, we could have stayed a second night.

Lovely food on site. Amazing views ,ideally.place for river walk or shops. Feels like a lovely step back in time - Still have keys for the doors. Quaint but with all the facilities needed for a very relaxing break.

Great room, clean and tidy

We stayed in room 30, really nice room on the second floor. It was very spacious and had everything we needed. The only thing that let it down was the bed. Every time you moved, it creaked quite loud. Unfortunately we had little sleep because of it which affected our plans for the next day

Amazing views

Was very impressed amazing views of my room on a lovely winters night Room was huge ! Definitely recommend to anyone in the area Big shout out to the super friendly lady at breakfast time a credit to the hotel! (Sorry didn’t get your name)

Overall a good stay. I had a superior room which was very big with a large bathroom with both a bath and a stand alone shower. Very quiet though it was totally off season. Tv was very new and a good size. My only negative was the mattress in the bed was absolutely terrible sagging in the middle it was that old. Someone badly needs to address this.

Couples Christmas break

We upgraded to a superior room this room was stunning with perfect views. My only complaint would be the wondows are so drafty. Yes there are lovely heavy drapes which do the job. With such wonderful views you dont want to shut them out. I understand the wondows cant be changed but like ive said on previous stays put shutters or some sort of cover over them which can be opened or taken dwn when the weather is better 🌞
