The xerophilic forest of Guadeloupe is located in areas of low rainfall.
In Saint-François, in the Baie-Olive section, one of these forests remains.
Inhabited and cultivated from the abolition of slavery until the cyclone of 1928, today nature seems to have regained its rights.
The area is cut by a deep ravine which leads to the sea, the bay of Baie-Olive.
This ravine, thanks to its inaccessibility, is still a refuge for many animal and plant species.
Secret and wild, the beach of the rollers is accessible from the Caribbean Spirit on foot or by bike (1.5 km). A case of white sand which contrasts with the harshness of the Atlantic.
