Amazing Alaskan Adventure!
First.let me get the bad out of the way. The water, especially in the shower stops randomly but give it a few second and it comes back. Disorienting at first but you get used to it.Remember it’s well water brought in by pump. When it’s 30 below it will need some patience!.That’s it for negatives. Just know that it’s out of town — which is why it’s quiet and peaceful and you really can see the Aurora Borealis! We arrived during a massive snowstorm. As soo. As it stopped, they came to plow the driveway and shovel the porch, much appreciated! The chalet itself is very cozy and comfortable. There is parking right by the porch. The cleaned I g requirements were minimal -wipe up your messes and start the dishwasher take out the trash. That’s a welcome change from most places that require guests to strip beds and so laundry.I’m sure there are posher rentals, but they come with posher prices. This place was fantastic, well-appointed and an absolute delight! Don’t pass this by. It’s a wonderful home base to enjoy Fairbanks area and even to just sit back in and drink some hot cocoa and relax!
