Great hotel in the middle of the USA
We love this hotel located in the middle of the USA, and this is our second stay here because we enjoyed our first day so much. It is modern yet homey, clean and comfortable, cozy and spacious, and for two times now, we had one of the best hotel breakfasts ever. Our room also had a full kitchen and two showers. You can really only use one shower at a time because one of the showers is clear glass and not located inside a bathroom so basically it’s see-through…unless it’s your close family member or spouse. Everything was clean and well-prepped, and the people were friendly. The area seems safe but we haven’t really explored since we were driving cross-country. Overall one the best hotels. It cost a little more but it was worthwhile.

My room was right above the gym which I became aware of later. I woke up at 5:00 am to a thumping sound which I could not figure out what it was. I was unable to sleep and actually after listening to this for 2 hours I ended up with. headache from the thumping. I finally just got dressed and went down to the front desk to find someone to come up to my room so we could figure out what this thumping was. When I got back to the room the thumping had stopped. The front desk called and said it was someone at the gym running on the treadmill. She said they were aware that another guest was using the treadmill starting at 4:30 in the morning. For 2 hours. It was very upsetting considering I was so looking forward to sleeping in that morning. Then I go to shower and the towels were like drying off with cardboard. I was expecting a nice plush soft towel since these rooms were not cheap. Then I went to grab an extra blanket out of closet and my friend and I were like where did they get this ? The Thrift Store. The help was very kind during the stay and I was moved to a new room later that evening away from the gym. Homewood Suites is a wonderful location and very clean. I just hope they quit booking that room so nobody has to endure what I did. I also would suggest softer towels.

For the price you're paying, this hotel falls short in terms of service quality. They only offer room service occasionally, unlike other similarly priced hotels that provide it daily. The hotel restaurant was quite disappointing. When I arrived, the staff didn't acknowledge me or make any effort to assist. The food was bad, and the service was lacking. Additionally, some of the front desk staff were unfriendly. I wouldn't advise staying at this hotel if you're planning to spend that kind of money.
