This hotel was sufficient. Bed was very comfortable, pillows and duvets cozy, however the room was a little small. Bathroom was sufficient and clean, high step into tub. Surprised there were no small wash cloths, shampoo or hair rinse provided for being a 4 star hotel. It was a good 11 minute walk to Old Town. Quite the trek everyday if one has walking issues. Old town is the place to be. It's where all the shops and restaurants are and Hohensalzburg Fortress. No need for an excursion for the fortress. Tickets easily purchased at the funicular that takes you up. The breakfast buffet is excellent! The bar and restaurant area convenient and nice view of the fortress. Although the staff at the reception area and the maintenance staff were very kind and professional, we were a bit disappointed at some restaurant/bar staff. First night having drinks and dinner, we did not return. Last morning while having breakfast, I put my plate on a table that wasn't cleared, and the woman who cleans tables literally yelled at me. The rest of the restaurant staff were very pleasant. "Hospitality", one should not be in this industry if they cannot be kind and hospitable. I truly believe some, not all, of the restaurant staff should go through additional training on how to professionally work with customers. They should learn to be kind, patient and smile for a change. It truly did not reflect well on the hotel and because of this, we do not wish to return.

This hotel is amazing. Such friendly staff. They helped with all our enquiries suggesting further options too. The hotel and room were clean and comfortable. They have a rooftop bar which was excellent. The food is perfect and they are extremely busy. Breakfast was plentiful. Its location is good only a short walk to the old town and Mirabelle gardens. I would highly recommend this hotel
