Nice home, great character and location

Upon arrival, the family was a bit apprehensive about the surrounding properties being aged and in need of restoration. The neighborhood is certainly in a transitional period but after entering the home their concerns went away. The description was exactly as advertised and it has wonderful historic character. The location to all tourist attractions that we wanted to visit was generally less than 15 minutes. Communication with the manager was great and we would definitely visit again.

Great for our needs.

It was located as described making getting around San Antonio easy. The house had everything we needed. We decided to eat in one dinner based on the kitchen condition and stocking. Back yard was a bonus. Parking inside the back gate overnight was great for feeling secure. Definitely would stay here again.

Excellent location and beautiful house.

The house is absolutely beautiful, very roomy, well furnished and supplied with all the utensils , etc. The price was affordable and completely fair. If I could think of one suggestion, I would recommend more towels be supplied. The beds are comfortable and it is a quiet neighborhood so we were able to relax and sleep well. I wish we had more time to use the fire pit in the backyard and explore more of the area. They have some great restaurants right up the street like The Ridge at the Hill.

Weekend in the Alamo City

This property was very clean and the hosts were available to address any needs. The kitchen is well stocked with k-pods for coffee and all the items you would need in your home away from home. The location was convenient to the Pearl and Riverwalk. There was plenty of street parking. The back yard is fenced and large. The check out process was easy.

Everything about the home was excellent, with the exception of the HVAC system. Certain parts of the home were extremely hot, while other parts of the home were very cold.

Historic Victorian Gem !

What a wonderful home with tons of charm! In town for a convention , my friends and I wanted something close to the convention center . The home was clean , beautifully decorated and all the bedrooms having en suite bathrooms was the cherry on top ! Cold downstairs & warm upstairs but that was the only issue !

Outstanding House

Among all of my house rental experiences, including higher price points, I can truly say this one is outstanding. Very clean and fresh, beautiful well-maintained historic architecture inside and out, excellent and large set of tableware, good quality furnishings, wonderfully large and elegant dining room table, huge fenced back yard, and a quiet safe neighborhood within easy walking and driving distance of our areas of interest.

Easy stay in San Antonio

As I have not visited the area in a while, I was nervous about where to stay. Most of my business had been on the North side of town off of 410, but for this visit, I needed to be closer to city center. After doing research about the area, I was still somewhat uneasy as it was just going to be mom and daughter. I came across this property, did my review research and decided this was going to be the best location for our stay. I am very happy we chose this property! The neighborhood upon arrival did not ease my mind, but after reading up about the area and the home in literature provided by the host, I felt much better. The stay, was short, but the property and neighborhood both turned out to be perfectly fine, quiet in the evening, and right near downtown for my business purposes. I will for sure book this property again the next time we come down, and hopefully will get to enjoy its amenities more than I was able too this time. The property is as clean as can be, extremely well updated, had really comfortable beds (Big Bonus), and had retained its historic value throughout. So if you need to be close to downtown, don’t second guess this one, just book it and be happy.

Felt like an honored guest

It was a privilege to stay in this beautiful property. We loved the historical designation and the amazing restoration done to it. It was a perfect balance of history mixed with all the modern amenities. It was so nice to stay in a spacious house instead of a tiny hotel room. The neighborhood was quiet but yet close to attractions. We would love to stay here again.It was nice to have laundry available and all the soaps and shampoo you needed on hand. There was also coffee and tea provided. Everything was clean and fresh. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from near by. . It is a great location.

Great time!

We had such a great time! House is equipped with everything you need and more. It’s clean, spacious, and comfy! Our group was two families with kids ranging from 13-17 and everyone was entertained while hanging out at the house when we weren’t out exploring all the neat places close by. Would definitely stay again!

Time with family

In San Antonio for Monarch Butterfly festival that granddaughter coordinated. From the moment we entered this home I knew our long weekend would be extra special. As particular as we are about our VRBO rentals, we all agreed this was one of our favorites. Hope this jewel is available next time we are in San Antonio.

My mom and I rented this little gem so we could visit my nephew at Fort Sam Houston. The house is as pictured and we absolutely LOVED it! I would definitely recommend this home. It’s close to the Riverwalk and FSH. It was comfortable and we felt safe in the neighborhood.

The Victorian Gem in San Antonio

Our stay was amazing. We love visiting San Antonio, but staying in a restored and updated older home was exactly what the doctor ordered. We loved the location. And it was easy to get anywhere we needed in minutes. The house is beautiful. Thank you and we will be back.

AMAZING GRADUATION / FAMILY GATHERING

Driving up, we were a little concerned with the area (some homes run down). However, when we walked in and closed the door it was like we were somewhere else. The property was clean, well stocked, and we felt so comfortable. I mean, WE MOVED IN for 4 nights!! We were able to cook dinner on 2 different nights and visit with family that we hadn't seen in years. We visited out back, played card games at the dining table, and watched the UFC fight. The home was as close to perfect as we could get, we were so grateful for the time and availability to be together. The only real tiny problem, was the bathroom door to the half bath wouldn't latch to stay closed, so someone had to stand guard and hold it closed. I thought parking on the street was going to be an issue, but we had no issues at all. They had parking in back from the ally, but you had to go through the house/side gate to unlock the back gate entrance. They don't show a blender being available, but they do have one if you need it. Check in and communication was clear and easy. Thank you for the wonderful accommodations!! We look forward to another stay with you in the future.

Lovely Remodeled Historic Home

Well located for us between San Antonio airport and Fort Sam Houston. We felt right at home with everything we needed for our weekend while visiting our daughter at Fort Sam Houston. This home had all the modern conveniences and non perishables we needed to enjoy our stay. We would stay here again.

Fantastic home that has the San Antonio Historical Seal proudly displayed on the front porch. Tastefully appointed and probably one of the best values we've enjoyed in a VRBO home. Kent did a great job of responding quickly to our question. We will definitely return. Great job Kent and team!

Beautiful Property

Perfect for our family get together in San Antonio! Close to Pearl District and lots of Restaurants! Also 15 minutes to main part of Riverwalk. Neighborhood is transitioning but didn’t feel unsafe. House has an alarm for peace of mind. It was absolutely perfect for 3 couples with each bedroom having a their own bathroom and even a 1/2 bath in laundry room for convenience! Would definitely stay again!

Comfortable and Classy

Our stay at this lovely home was just what we were hoping for when we booked it. A comfortable place to stay and visit with family we don't get to see very often The bedrooms were very comfortable and the living area/dining area/kitchen were warm and inviting. The location is close to the Pearl District and we enjoyed going there for breakfast, lunch and dinner! We would highly recommend visiting this area. Although it is less than a mile to the Pearl District, we did not walk as we didn't know the area. We drove one day and called Uber the next. It was a quick drive. The house had many comforts and although we did not cook during our stay it is well supplied if you choose to.

2024 Eclipse Fun

This historic house in San Antonio was so great. 3 bedrooms and 3 on suite bathrooms accommodated us perfectly. Updated kitchen with large dining room and front room. We enjoyed sitting on the backyard deck overlooking the huge backyard. The house was located close to the river walk, Alamo and Pearl district.
