It was fine, cold, noisy. You could hear what others guests were doing at 2am in the morning. Parking for guests was a little expensive even though you stay, drink and eat there

The staff was great. They did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. The bad things were the heat did not work or something wrong with it. Woke up first morning and thermostat was reading 53. Pretty cold in you drawers. I told them and they fixed it. The bath tub had a stain looked like someone blew mud on tub. Ended up being rust. Place is ok for guys. Don't bring your wife/girlfriend they won't like it.

The room wasn't clean properly and we found hair on the floor and bathroom. The mini fridge had water leak and we had to wait for a repair man for an hour. Hotel location was good but it's an old hotel and shows that.

Disappointed expectations

Good location right on the river walk. However, promotion photos made promised that could not be kept when exoeriencing the hotelnin real life. The room very much had the feel of a budget Motel to it. Restaurant ares was nice and cozy though.

This is a great option if you're staying in San Antonio. I missed the deadline to book accommodations onsite at the conference I was attending and came across the Riverwalk Plaza on Expedia. It's tucked away a bit (my uber driver was shocked to learn of this hotel lol), but it's a nice spot and less than a 5 min walk to the main streets. The lobby and my room were both clean, cozy and well maintained. When I messaged the front desk about issues with the room's heating, they sent someone to fix it immediately. Niche, the hotel's coffee shop, is lovely as well.

Vibe of a cheap low budget motel

For the price it was not worth it, I felt like I was walking into a High Rise Super 8 motel. The smell in the hallway on the floor I was staying in reminded me of a low budget motel on sunset blvd in Hollywood CA with the feeling that the other guests in the rooms around me were not guest, but rather section 8 drug addicts or some type of escort friendly trap house. The vibe was off partly due to the location and I guess San Antonio in general feels this way. I’m just saying for $140+ dollars for a less than 8 hour stay felt like I was getting hustled. I recommend staying at the manger or the true by Hilton which is 1/2 this price and you feel safer, in a lighter note the staff was excellent and very helpful checking in and out. Had a five stars I give it to.
