We booked a king room. The room was large and clean. Unfortunately, it was directly on the pool level. Our outdoor space opened to the pool. Which, as parents ourselves wasn’t that big a deal but wasn’t really relaxing. I found myself having multiple conversations with small strangers as they stopped by our patio to chat or show us things. This went on even when we went inside. I would look up and see a row of faces looking into our room over the “fence” of our patio. When we tried to close the blinds we discovered they closed from the top down - the entire length of the sliding glass doors. They were light canceling so when down no light at all came in. It was like being in a cave. When up you could see everything in our room - and we could see everything in the room across the pool from us. Soooo not great. In addition the flooring was a faux wood which did keep things clean but wow could you hear every single thing that hit the floor above, below or around you - and people dropped a lot of stuff. Also, high heels - every step was amplified. It was crazy how loud. Moving rooms wasn’t possible - I’m sure some of this could have been fixed with that but I guess I expected better then dated, worn decor. With an 8.6 rating.
