Was very disappointing when I got to the property. I feel a bit “catfished” based on the pictures online. My room smelled terrible and it looked and felt like a cheap motel. Very disappointed to say the least! The hotel front desk staff were not the best either. The bed was hard and I could not sleep with the thin walls. You can hear everyone coming and going from Their rooms and the walls would shake! I will never come come back here again!

This hotel is fantastic. Great little restaurant where we had breakfast and the staff is super friendly. The only negative was that we had requested a room with two Queen size beds. These are not queen-size. They're double or full-size beds. That's a little misleading. But other than that, our stay was super comfortable, everything was clean, and everyone was courteous and professional to us. We will absolutely be staying here again, no question.

I spent 5 days here and was very pleased with the hotel. My son graduated from MCRD and spent the last two nights with me before flying back home together. The room was comfortable, the food options were grest, the pool is very nice. The staff treated us well. Next time I'm in San Diego I will definitely stay here again.

It’s basically a spit shined Howard Johnson.
If economy is the main concern, this is your spot. I only stayed here because of an industry event being held in its event area, never again. I am surprised the owners would let this property look so rundown - it is a great location and could be so much more. Even the parking lot asphalt was coming up up in giant patches, you had to roll out slowly to miss the potholes.

The room was more expensive than nearby competitors but equally as run down. Parking was $24 a day. If you have a vehicle I would suggest staying further away from hotel circle.

Ok but would not stay again
The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was old and had a musty smell that would not go away even with window open. Stained carpet but Bed and bathroom were clean.

This is a great hotel…close to everything in San Diego. It was clean and staff was very friendly. The restaurants are good. The only thing that was missing was a room refrigerator. We asked for a ground floor room with a patio and that’s just what we got. I would definitely stay there again!

Parking is $24 for 24 hours. It's outdoor parking in the sun. The rooms have not been updated since the 1970's. The smell in the room reminds you that the rooms have not been updated since the 1970's. Ice was available close by. The water pressure was fine. This room was priced at about $170 before taxes, plus tax and the parking - it came out to a little over $200. This room was not a $200 room. Will not be staying here again.

This was a decent hotel. Not the best. The towels had a smell. Tv was small. Not much light. One bench seat besides the bed and one office chair. Probably wouldn’t stay again but was fine for what it was. No real problems and you get what you pay for.
