The location is closed to Sea World San Diego which was the primary reason we booked the hotel. The location is convenient surrounded by restaurant and different stores for shopping and eating. However, the hotel desperately needs some hardware upgrades. TV didn’t work initially and phone got routed to San Diego Airport for some reason. Room is dark even with all the lights turned on. We ran into some “junkies” on our way to our room and some friendly homes less people were also visiting the breakfast area before the staff ask them to leave. The great thing about the hotel are the friendly staff who were trying really hard making our stay felt welcome. And the waffle machine at the breakfast bar also won the hearts of the kids

Simple room
Good to stay for a simple no frills night. Older furniture. Bar soaps are some of the thinnest and cheapest out there. Walls are very very thin as you can hear everything in the other rooms on each side. Great parking. Breakfast is hit or miss. Hard boiled eggs where available on first two days only, they the stopped putting them out.

Do not believe anything on this site about this hotel. Complete letdown and once again they do not have an actual breakfast. They have some bread, two types of cereal and juice.
Best part is the view. Just don’t look down because you’re on the side of a busy street.

Don’t stay there even if it’s your last resort
Terrible first of all, it took three times going to the front desk because our keys didn’t work then the door was hard to get in second the TV didn’t work or the cable the window screen was ripped. The AC didn’t work. The phone didn’t have any room service overall really terrible smelled really bad in there as well. Never stayed there again.

Front desk agent was great. We had to change rooms because the HVAC didn’t work in the first room. We were too tired to change room the next day after we discounted tub had a horrible drip. The entrance to our room was a challenge to get in because the handle never seemed to work properly. Sometimes you had to put the handle up sometime down luckily we got in at all to the room. Needless to say the room needs some love!

The TV was not working in the room, Front Desk employee had no solution for this only to say "Sorry..." Fan in bathroom made a super loud squeaking noise whenever it was on. a paid of Dirty socks was also left under the bed. Over all maintenance on the room was poor, conditions poor. Will not stay here again.

Avoid this place. It is highly degraded. Lights did not work. Towel request took 3 reminders to get with 2hr delay. Everything falling apart at this place Around 12:30am heard someone knocking at door 4 times. Very unsafe Room wasn’t serviced for second day Extremely congested breakfast place. No place to sit

Not the best hotel to stay at
Check in was easy and simple. The key cards were a bit frustrating, the room keys would deactivate if the was not in the paper sleeve. The floors were dirty, the water was dripping from the bathtub, the tub itself looked dirty and does not look it has been cleaned. the furniture looked like it was chewed on, and just looked and smell dirty. I will not be returning
