The pool area is lovely with nice patios. Staff are helpful. We used self-parking and although our room key cards were supposed to get us in and out of the garage, the staff had to remake the keys three times over our stay to get it to work which was a little inconvenient.

Please be aware of hidden fees that they charge you at checkout. There was only 1/2 elevators working going to the parking garage. We waited so long every time we had to get our car. Parking is $45/night or $60/night for valet. For the price of the stay, parking should be included along with the movie theater on the 4th floor. The rooms need to be remodeled to match the lobby and other areas of the hotel. The view is gorgeous. The staff is friendly. I would stay somewhere else in the future and get more out of my money and still be able to enjoy the beautiful city of San Diego.

Parking was expensive and the spaces were small. Large vehicles would regularly take up multiple spots. The elevator system is not advanced enough. The elevator would be full and it would continue to stop to pick up more people. Every elevator car would be crammed. Luckily there was no outbreak of Covid. The location is perfect for a romantic trip and to see the July 4th fireworks. The staff were amazing for all our needs. They were responsive, warm, and welcoming. Despite my complaints, I still highly rate the hotel for its location and staff.

I didn't realize the property was so huge. It was a lot of walking to get around. Also, there should be a more convenient location to smoke, without having to walk to a busy street corner. Finally, I was surprised that the lobby bar was never open. Only place to get a happy hour cocktail was up on the 40th floor.

The AC wasn't working in our room and the hotel had to provide us a box fan for our room. We also noted that the sprinkler was leaking water onto the carpet. Lastly, we didn't appreciate that one of the two elevators in the parking garage were not working; we were informed it would be another month until it is fixed. It took a very long time to get an elevator and then, often, it was full and you had to wait longer. We would have taken the stairs, but they locked those in the evening so you couldn't use them.
