Check-in was seamless despite being a weekend with baseball fans checking in. Excellent location for Petco Park, Gaslamp quarter and convention center. Clean & quiet but dark colors in room and hallways didn't reflect a modern Omni. Equally perplexing was the large carpetted enclosed area leading to the pool crowded with people cramped by empty cabanas. Upon check-out we caught a pricey valet parking charge (which we didn't use) leaving an overall so-so feeling about our expensive stay.

Generally a nice stay. The sky bridge to Petco is key! Pool deck is nice but was busy, but not overwhelmingly so. Room was great in all ways. A couple of annoyances but nothing the skip this hotel over. Elevator backs up big time, long lines. Bar/restaurant hours are very limited. Valet is very slow, 20+ minutes per car when we left on Sunday around 8am.

The Perfect Place to stay next to Petco stadium
It was a short trip to attend the Padres game. It was as close as possible to the stadium, and you have the privilege of crossing to the stadium from the hotel (need hotel room key)

Omni Hotel Wgen in San Diego
First time staying in San Diego and the Omni staff are definitely a big part of the positive experience. My flight arrived at 10/00am and once I got to the hotel, they didn’t even blink at the request for early check in. The room was ready and they welcomed me with no extra charge or any of the other nonsense other hotels practice. Super positive experience!!
