THEEE worst. I stayed here for a work trip. Figured I just needed somewhere to sleep and a short walk from my building. This hotel is nothing short of a nightmare. The day that I was to check in, I was informed there would be no water to repair a leak. Not a huge deal, except that they got the date wrong. The following day would be without water. You know, for showers and the like. Lovely. When the water was turned back on, it took over 15 minutes of running cold water to get it warm. I called asking if that was normal and was informed that because I was on the 9th (top) floor and they had low occupancy - wonder why - that yes, that's normal. Not at all wasteful. Sounds good. If you choose to stay here, just know that the heavy doors to each room have ZERO to slow or stop them from slamming, so you will hear that all night and most of the day. Also, you will surely get your steps in. I had to walk down a long hallway EVERY DAY to get to my room and find out that my key card doesn't work. So every day, I had to walk back down that hallway and downstairs to get a new key card. THREE.DAYS.IN.A.ROW. But hey, if you like very rough towels and filthy showers - like, wear-your-sandals-in-them kinda showers - you'll love it here

Free gourmet coffee 6 AM to 12 noon

The hotel has a wonderful coffee machine that makes 10 different kinds of coffee. I highly recommend their coffee. You don’t have to go to Starbucks you save a fortune!!!

The hotel is in a convenient location to the gaslamp district. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The walls are thin and we could hear our neighbors conversation. Self parking is $30.00 and Valet is $42.00, the parking garage is secure so that was reassuring. I would stay here again.

High expectations, underwhelming experience

When I originally looked at the hotel pictures, it looked completely different. I didn't even recognize it as it looked old and run down. A number of things in the room were rusting and the shower was clean but old and dated. The chairs had stains on them. The valet was great and the fitness center was fine. The location was great!
