Think of this like a modern Pied a Tere. Small egocentric well designed rooms. Amazing breakfast. Good style. Easy access to public transportation (Muni/Bart is on same block).

The feeling and look of the place is artsy and modern; it really pops. The doormen/and security (especially Tanveer) were alert, professional, yet very friendly. We loved the layout, cardkey room elevators, and the welcoming bar/lounge area. It's a place we will return to again (God willing).

Cool new hotel with a great lobby/bar staff and doormen. Great restaurants close by. Cable car stop is a block away. LETS GO TO SFO!

We loved our stay at CitizenM in San Francisco. We were aware of the small size of the room, so we didn't had any other expectations. But there is enough space to put all your clothes in a drawer under the bed, so you can put the suitcases away. And then, it's super cozy and I love the interior in the whole hotel. The parking space next to the hotel is price wise okay-ish for San Francisco, so you don't really have an other option, and that's fine as well. The area felt safe and it was a good location to explore the city, we would definitely come back!

Customer service was amazing! Everyone is super friendly and helpful! Location was in a relatively safe area, walking distance from a lot of restaurants and stores. Rooms were nice and clean as well

What isn’t there to like? I felt safe, welcomed and genuinely cared about! My husband fell while out on an excursion. I shared what happened with a sweet staff member and she jumped to make a perfect ice pack no questions except for “how else can I help”. The rooms were so cozy and inviting starting from the greetings from the tv and iPad to the colored lights! This is the FIRST hotel that truly means blackout blinds! Sleep uninterrupted guaranteed! Breakfast buffet offered foods and flavors for all palates. The common area was awesome! Tons of books to read, computers to share, tvs…Then there was the rooftop open to take in awesome views while sipping on a hot latte or chilled cocktail. We will be back for sure! I truly left a piece of “my heart in San Francisco”

Wonderful! From check-in to check-out staff was fantastic and helpful. My morning mocha was perfect and a great start to my day. Breakfast always looked amazing but I can’t eat a large breakfast but found yogurt less than a block away. Although some people mention the rooms being small I found it very convenient for one person and the bed was very comfortable. I’m an older adult but the room technology wasn’t difficult to navigate and was actually great. citizenM thought of everything and I have no complaints or thoughts of anything else I wish was there. For the past few years I’ve stayed at various AirBNB’s but this is a game changer! I’ll definitely stay here again in the future! A huge thank you to the staff for this wonderful experience!
