I was looking for a cheap room near the chase center and this is what I chose. The hotel itself wasn't that bad, comfortable beds, clean, friendly staff, safe parking, quiet, good price, yummy pastries in the morning. It had a few flaws, like cracked tiles, rickety elevator...older building stuff, nothing that really bothered me. My main issue has nothing to do with the hotel, PLEASE BE WARNED, THIS AREA IS DIRTY AND HAS A LOT OF HOMELESS. We decided to walk around when we got there and it was smelly (there was a lot of feces on the ground) and so many homeless 😭 We were only there for one night, just going to a concert, so it wasn't really a big deal. I felt pretty safe in the hotel, just don't walk around the neighborhood

Generally very positive. The only drawbacks were that the phone pad recharger actually drained my phone instead of charging it. This was due the the fine print fact that it should not have a metal casing. Also, heat did not work but they brought up a portable heater which did the trick.

A quirky hotel with helpful staff. Would’ve preferred the coffee/tea to be replenished without having to ask. Some unsavoury types hung around on nearby pavements but then there are lots of homeless folk in the city centre and they never bothered us.

surprisingly stylish and friendly in this part of San Francisco that is generally not too friendly. the decoration brings back memories from a bygone era. some in the neighburing rooms were pretty loud. earplugs recommended.

Despite the very long wait to check in, the staff were extremely helpful and understanding and they were able to help me get a room when I was in a huge time crunch. The rooms had the most comfortable beds that I’ve been on and there was a good amount of space in the room for two people.

This was our second time staying here. Though it’s by the tenderloin, it’s not the worst area. Have enjoyed both times, the size and quality of the rooms are pretty nice.
