Not hot water in the rooms
The hotel is very nice and very friendly staff. The problem was the heater was broken and we didn’t have hot water for showers, and I couldn’t shave. The employee tried to change us the room but all the rooms were with the same issue. I’ve made a report to the Manager to get the refund of the day I couldn’t have shower. At the moment I didn’t get any answers from them.

Front desk staff very friendly. Room are very spacious and cleaned. Bathroom very big, clean, great water pressure. Breakfast was very good, typical Costa Rica breakfast. Restaurant staff very friendly. This is my favorite hotel. I’ll be back every time I go to Costa Rica.

Lovely staff, good Aircon and nice breakfast. Furniture in my room was shabby and funny smell when I first walked in. No light near the shower for some reason in the disabled access room (not sure why I was in disabled access, not requested must just have been what was available)

Two stays at urban green.
We stayed at several hotels around Costa Rica-over a nine day span. This was the best. The rooms were comfortable but the layout was puzzling. We wondered what it was, before it was a hotel. Each floor had a center court with table and chairs, the rooms were surrounding the court,on two levels, the second level accessible only by staircase. If you are over 6’6”, watch you head in the bedroom areas. Traits generally in CR, no water glasses, hand towels, wash cloths in the room. One of two elevators was out of service for over a week.

Ok so this place has alot of opportunity to be greater then what it is. First i have to go down start to get ice in the restaurant which closes at a certain time and act wited when you ask for more ice. Secondly if my friends frim my other other hotel comes to visit so we can get ready for the club they wanted to charge them 20mil. I got sick somewhere else and had food and for a fork the guy didn't have any but i seen him give a family forks for their food but he didnt mind give me a butter knife. There was a blood stain on the street that i didnt see. The staff at reception was nice and friendly expect the older man who was rude to my friend who visited. I ask for a place with a windows or balcony and got a wall. I hope they do better . The cleaning was very good and try her best to make sure i was ok.

I would highly recommend Urban Green for anyone that wants to be right in the city center for a reasonable price! The hotel was very comfortable and the room we got (the family suite) was very spacious with more than enough room for our group of 4. I loved how convenient it was to walk to everything in the downtown area. The amenities at the hotel were great too, with the laundry and the breakfast being the standouts. The staff was super helpful and even accommodated our need for a middle of the night check in (since we had a very late arrival). We enjoyed our stay so much that after returning to San Jose (we visited a few other parts of the country before returning to the city for a final night before leaving), we cancelled our other hotel so that we could stay at Urban Green again.

A great choice if you want to discover San Jose. We felt safe and enjoyed the multiple options for dining and coffee in the central area of the city. Staff at reception were very nice and helpful. Breakfast is very good.
