Cute, but Inadequate
The hotel looked well taken care of. It is in a good location. Those are the good things about the hotel. The room was noisy, in that you could hear every step from the outside. The floor was dirty with pieces of scattered crackers around, as well as other crumbs. There was no soap, shampoo, or other items in the room. The remote to turn on the heater was open in the back with no battery. The cable was disconnected from the tv. After bringing the issues up, there was an apology and a wish that we would return, which we won’t. There was no attempt at making the unkept room right.

Fine hotel, great view of the rock and harbor. Updated decor, spacious room, high ceilings, no central heating or cooling so supplemental units offered. Pretty shower, some shabbiness happening with loose handles, peeling paint on cabinets. Wouldve been content except for TV situation. Same TV as i have at home but only free TV offered is old shows, ugh, just using pluto. Tabs for netflix, disney, etc....which i have subscriptions for, but u needed a roku code. I don't know what that would be... but was very disappointed not to be able to watch anything but old gunsmoke episodes....

Great location and service
Great location as you are literally two blocks from the main drag. The service was the best I have had in a long time and offered some great dining suggestions. They put us in room 210 right on the corner, with great views, when the fog wasn't blocking everything. The only issues we had was that the bed seemed a little hard and the TV had issues working because of the satellite and fog. Reached out to the hotel and they offered to change our rooms. Then, after my wife pointed out what a big baby I was being wanting to choose TV over a good view, I shut up and stayed in 210.

Accidentally left my Movado wrist watch which fell from side table next to bed onto the floor. After multiple attempts to contact office via customer service, I at last contacted office and was told they have the watch which housekeeping found and deposited in their lost and found. They offered to return it via UPS the following day. They are the best! Thankful for honest housekeepers and Melanie, the sympathetic office manager. Will give them my business whenever in Morro Bay! Unfortunately it was advertised with a sleeper sofa which turned out to be a loveseat where the back went down flat, very very uncomfortable and disappointing. To be equally fair the rest of the room was fine and the staff was very nice

I booked the stay almost a month ago, it was not last minute. We were given a ground floor room next to the stairs. It was very noisey from room upstairs and people using the stairs. The front of our room was all glass. Very fishbowl. Also, we were given a room for handicap guests. No mention was made at checkin other than that the hotel was completely full. We visit this area several times a year, not sure if we will be a repeat customer to this property.

The Landing was clean and very reasonably priced. The location is perfect for walking to the shops and restaurants. If all rooms had ironing boards (available only from the front desk) coffee pots in the rooms, it’d be perfect.

The hotel facility was an older hotel upgraded and renovated. Our room was quiet and convenient to the wharf. A view of “The Rock” was clear from our unit. A very nice experience!

We enjoyed our stay! Only unexpected item was that there was no elevator and we were on the 3rd floor. Thankfully my 75 year old mother who was on the trip was able to do stairs ok. This may be noted regarding the property but I don’t recall seeing anything.
