Beautiful View

This vacation home was absolutely incredible, offering breathtaking views that made our stay even more special. The house was spotless and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need, making it feel like a true home away from home. Its fantastic location provided easy access to all areas of New River Gorge National Park, allowing us to fully explore the beauty of the surroundings. For those who are light sleepers like me, it’s worth noting that the nearby train tracks do have activity through the night. Nonetheless, our experience was amazing, and would love to stay here again in the future!

The view is amazing! The house is very nice and clean. Rooms are nice size. Supplied everything you could possibly need! We will stay again in the future! The host is very fast in responding. Greeted us with a note and cookies. Thank you for the cookies!

Great stay near National Park

We stayed 5 nights and were very pleased. The house was very clean with nice extra touches. It’s clearly been updated recently. It was convenient for all areas of the national park and we hiked every single day. I was initially worried that the close train tracks would be too noisy but it was not bad at all AND my almost 3 year old grandson wanted to see every train that went by and was excited every single time. We had a great time. The owners were great to communicate with and were very responsive.

A birthday get-a-way!

My husband and I rented the cottage for his birthday get-a -way. He loves to fish and that is the reason we chose this cottage on the New River. The cottage was immaculately clean and the owner was gracious and very responsive to any questions. Although the cottage is out in the country, it is still convenient to towns and shopping in the area. Although the road and railway in front of the cottage didn’t bother my husband, the noise did bother me. The country store just a block away is very cute and the people working there are very friendly. It is a cute place to browse. Again, I would like to say that this is probably the cleanest and most well equipped cottage we have ever stayed in.

Home Away From Home!

Loved staying in this house! From the jar of delicious cookies, to the case of water in the refrigerator and extra toiletries in the bathroom… everything was thought of to make you feel at home. Our toddler had a blast watching the boats from the back of the house the train from the front. The house was absolutely spotless and the beds were comfortable. If I could pick up the house and put it in a different location, I would. However, the general store was very convenient and everyone in the neighborhood was friendly. This rental is going to be hard to beat for our future vacations.

This was our second stay at this property. Love sitting on the deck and enjoying the beautiful scenery! The house is so welcoming with a welcome note from the host and cookies on the table. Also loved hearing and watching the train! Great hosts. Can’t wait till our next visit!!

New River Gorge vacation

The area is beautiful. The house is a great place to watch the river, fishermen, and birds. There were two egrets that frequented the vicinity. We even got to see one eating a 4-5 inch fish.

Little piece of Heaven in WV!

We had a fabulous time at this home! Every single detail, especially the extra hospitality efforts, made us feel like home. It’s nestled in between many of the hiking and sightseeing spots, so travel was easy. The house sits directly beside a boat access area, but even in the middle of summer it was no very busy. All boaters that we came into contact with were very friendly! We caught many fish here. The railroad tracks across the road were such a fun addition. Our children loved seeing and hearing the trains. The noises did not prevent any of us from sleeping. I HIGHLY recommend spending some time in this little “piece of heaven.”

House is 10/10

This house is awesome. It was one of the nicest VRBO houses that I've stayed in. There was attention to detail and everything was included! The only negatives is that while the house is super nice, the area around it is not great and run down. The boat access ramp to the river is right there and people will park their trucks 3 feet away from the porch while they wait (my boys loved watching this so it wasn't even really a negative but it is not private hah). A train crossing is about 100 yards away and freight trains run at all hours of the night and day. Since it is a crossing, they blare their horns when they get close. There were 3 trains overnight the first night and 2 trains overnight the second night. That being said, if I was going to return to the area, I would consider staying at this house again, It is THAT good!

Peaceful Riverside Retreat

This stay was practically perfect in every way. Bracketed by a small waterfall and the New River, it was a relaxing spot to spend a long weekend. The hosts were wonderful - and added lots of little touches to make us feel welcome and at home. Grateful we found it!

Lovely home and lovely hosts!

I had questions after booking about bringing our dog since I hadn't originally booked completely sure we'd have to bring her. The owners responded so quickly & said I could add her on even last minute which was so helpful! The hosts messaged the day of offering early check in since the home was ready, so cool, that never happens! Upon entering, each bedroom had a chocolate on the nightstand. There was a welcome letter with baked cookies and even treats for our dog!! How cute & thoughtful! The home was clean and had everything we could possibly want. I've never stayed anywhere that was stocked like this ever from toilet paper and paper towels to even washing pods! They had a shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispenser in the shower. And even extra lotion, razors & toothpaste, the hosts have literally thought of everything. The view was so amazing and peaceful. I enjoyed coffee and reading on the porch watching the river. Book this home, you won't be disappointed! Lovely home! Awesome hosts! Thank you for sharing your home.

Beautiful stay

We had a great time . Everything was perfect. Me and my family had great time . The house was clean and had everything you needed. The host was great and quick to respond. The view was beautiful and we had great fire. We also really enjoyed sitting on the deck . Our pets had a great time also .
