The hotel is an excellent value in its accommodation category, giving a comfortable but not luxurious experience for a very reasonable price. The restaurant on the property is an asset also. The staff went out of their way to accomodate a special request for us. My only disappointment was the fitness room that was below-par even for budget hotels.

We had an amazing stay the Best Western Plus. The front-desk staff were very friendly and helpful in every respect. Our room was spacious and clean, with a great AC system and great extras (safe, microwave, mini fridge, robes, anti-fog mirror in the bathroom). The property includes a zebra-finch aviary (cool!), a pool, and a hot tub. The Live Oak Restaurant on the hotel property has excellent selection, amazingly fast service, and very reasonable prices for the food quality. The hotel location is a nice quiet area, a bit too far to walk to downtown Santa Barbara but a short drive or Uber away. We would happily stay here again.

The vibe/decor is different from most chain hotels and looks more interesting, especially with the onsite restaurant and bird sanctuary. The bathroom dispenser didn't dispense very smoothly.

Requested thinner pillows as too thick for our necks. They did not have any thinner pillows so we had to do without pillows. Great restaurant beside hotel.
