This was an amazing trip from start to finish. We were greeted by the wonderful Valet, then check in was so fast and friendly, Once we arrived to the room we were welcomed with champagne and smores for my friends birthday. The room was beautiful and the cleaning staff made sure we had everything we needed. At checkout it was also fast and the valet was wonderful with letting us leave our car while we got coffee. Love staying here every time we come to Santa Barbara

I have stayed at Hotel Milo 4 times over several years and it never disappoints. Front desk staff and valet attendants are always friendly and helpful. Rooms and clean and come with Keurig machines, coffee pods and a fridge. The property is beautiful and right across from the beach and near the harbor. There are many restaurants in walking distance.

We enjoyed our stay here. It’s very central to the beach and good restaurants. It was very clean. The bathroom is a little dated, and the lighting was pretty dim. I liked the traditional feel of the hotel. It was something a little different, not the run-of-the-mill hotel experience.

Location is excellent, staff is friendly and the common spaces are nice. But, the rooms are dated. Although the surfaces looked clean, there is old grout with bad corners, some patch-worked walls and the water temp is very delayed in the shower (a couple of ants in the shower). Another family member said their internet was slow (old tech) and the pool pump next to the room was loud. Not a good value for the cost, in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend it.

I was sadly very disappointed by the rooms at the Milo, we had literally the smallest bathroom I have ever been in, I could barely shave my legs in the shower because of how tight it was. The place just feels very run down and not at all worth the amount I spent. The only redeeming factor is that it is right near the ocean and State street, but so are a bunch of other hotels so do your research first!

The thing to remember about the Milo is that it's a block long and parking is by valet. So if you forgot something like toothpaste, you have to go to the valet, get your keys, find your car, get the item out and return the keys to the valet kiosk then walk a block back ro your room. We were staying in room 164. The newer heating system did not work at all. In fact, this new system that was mounted on the wall didn't even come on. So we were not comfortable at night or in the morning. However, the heater in the bathroom, which is about 70 years old, worked very nicely for the bathroom. The hot water for the shower was tricky. The water temperature would surge on its own from very cold to very hot. So you have to be very carefu so as not to get scalded. Also, you couldn't shut the shower faucet off so it dripped all night and of course there was nobody available to fix it even though there was a night clerk, The only good thing I could say about our room was the beds were very comfortable. But otherwise, it was disappointing and definitely would not think to return to the Miilo

The outside was pretty and it's near the beach. Not by anything but 1 dinner. Does not offer breakfast. Check ins are very late. Rooms weren't nice. Just because it's an old building doesn't mean it can have nice interior.

Perfect location right across from the beach.We had valet park our car and walked everywhere else.It’s the perfect location to walk to several restaurants although they have one on site.We took the trolly ride around town which meets at the visitors center.On Sundays local artists set up their art for sale,which was really neat.Just a very nice location.All staff were friendly and nice.The room was nice.It’s an older facility that has been refreshed and updated nicely.Beautiful grounds in a great location,yet you still have that very private/tucked away element.Quiet,clean,perfect.My husband had trouble turning on the shower(completely user error on his part).Staff was there in less than two minutes to help him.So impressed by the responsiveness.Again,just such a friendly and wonderful staff from maintenance,valet,front desk.Everyone we encountered was great.Also a great value for Santa Barbara.Definitely will stay again!

Room pictures on their website are not the same. Was provided with a non updated room; only one section of their entire hotel is modern and updated. Great location right across the beach and pier and near shopping and restaurants downtown.
