We should mention
At check-in, parents or a legal guardian travelling with children under 18 years old are obligated to present the child's birth certificate and an identity card with a photo (for example, a passport). For international travels to Brazil, if only one of the parents is travelling with the child, the parent must present – in addition to the child's certificate of birth and identity card with photo – a letter authorising the trip signed by the other parent with a notarial certification of signature. If the parents or the legal guardian, as applicable, cannot or are unwilling to give this authorisation, a judicial authorisation is required. People intending to travel to Brazil with children must consult with the Brazilian consulate prior to travelling for more information.
One child aged 5 years old or younger stays free in the same room as the parent or guardian when using existing bedding.

No limpiaron los baños, al limpiar la habitacion dejaban mal olor en los pisos, no nos cambiaron los vasos por unos limpios, las sabanas de la cama viejas y rotas
I extended my trip in this hotel with my girlfriend after staying a couple of nights alone, I felt it was a good idea to have her come to that one compared to others in the area as the safety in the neighborhood really was an issue, this one took care of most of my needs.
I got there around 1 in the afternoon, they were cleaning the rooms so all the doors were open. My room was on the seventh floor. As I made my way to my room I got curious and checked out another room with the door open and noticed I liked the view of that one more, it felt private compared to the one I was in. I called the guy downstairs and asked to immediately switch, he asked why and I explained that I wanted to have a more open feeling and that window gave me that. He then switched me to the sixth floor that had a balcony! Zero extra charge, and the room was larger. Fantastic accommodation. 10/10
Great location, downtown SP. Near all bars and clubs

As an international guest, I had expected that someone in the hotel is able to speak in English. That was not the case at all. In fact, when I was checking in, there was a problem with my payment, and it was really frustrating for both of us not being able to communicate properly. I relied on google translate if I wanted to ask about something, and that should be pretty much a yes/no question. The hotel did not have any map or booklet that explains the attraction points in the city. I thought that is fairly typical in any hotel, I don't know. maybe not in Brazil.
Breakfast is Ok, nothing too exciting though. Internet was good. The facility is a bit old (or it looks old), and my room was very small. It mostly felt like a private hostel room. The hotel is located in one of the busiest part of the city. For a foreigner, it might feel a little rough in the first glance, but I got comfortable going out after a couple of days. Probably not the best place to stay out late though.
Voltaria a me hospedar lá com certeza.
The hotel is in a good location and most PoIs in the historic district are in walkable distance. It is also close to metro. The folks working here were very helpful in giving trip advices and other tips. They also have a decent breakfast. The hotel room is quite compact - probably cramped to some. Good place for a cheap price.
The staff are polite. They can help you with direction. The hotel are very well located. The breakfast is good and well generous. The metro (Republica) are 3 minutes walking. I really recommend and I will stay there again.

Disliked: Staff & service
Ok
The location is central but in quite a rough area. The hotel is basic and a bit dated but good enough for a no frill stay. Customer service is awful. We had paid for the booking in full with hotels.com. The receptionist told us our booking had been cancelled and refused to check us in until we paid again. I explained that hotels.com had not notified me of this. He was very rude and didn't apologise or offer any reason why the hotel had cancelled our booking. Eventually after contacting hotels.com customer service he checked us in. Again with no apology or reasoning for his behaviour.

A Good Value
It was a clean, basic room with a helpful hotel staff. The breakfast was good. The location was not great with locals telling me to watch my cell phone and wallet. I slept well in the clean room with a good internet connection.
This hotel was nice, in the mix of everything. I was able to park directly across the street and get in and out easily. I'm a single adult male so, it was perfect for me. I went out in the evening to get food though, I wouldn't recommend it for the front of heart. I would personally stay again if I find myself there in the future!
Hotel Cinelandia is in downtown Sao Paulo and is near the metro stop Republica.
The hotel room was clean basic, and the staff was helpful. It was most helpful that the staff in the lobby spoke some english. There was a bus station a few blocks away that shuttled passengers to both main airports in the area. The hotel offered a breakfast buffet, and an internet cafe with international calling is a few blocks away as well.
