Good surprise!
We stayed 5 nights in Sassetta. If you like to be surrouded by olives trees and country side. This place is for you! We had the room 20 on second floor wich have a nice balcony offering such a great view. The pool was not busy. Morning buffet is amazing with all sorts of home made sandiwches tarts and cakes! Diner is not to be missed. We highly recommande this place and shall return soon. Herve

Gorgeous location. Lovely pool. Grown up, relaxed atmosphere. Wonderful staff and fabulous food on the terrace. Beautiful building full of character. Easy, convenient parking. Every box ticked for a perfect Tuscan retreat. We will return.

Lovely hotel in stunning surroundings
I visited for a girls weekend where we were looking for a relaxing weekend of exploring Tuscan hills and we were really delighted with what we encountered. Overall the hotel was in good condition and the rooms were very comfortable with air conditioning which was a pleasure after the intense heat of the outdoors.

Lovely Country Retreat
Wonderful place. Right from initial greeting to final goodbyes we felt like we were visiting family. Danielle upgraded our room to a lovely balcony suite, which we enjoyed for 4 nights. Had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and all were superb. Dinners prepared the chef were 4 course Italian wonders. The grounds were great to just wander. The garden has all the fresh vegetables that go in to dinner. The field has friendly burros and a horse that graciously accept treats. The pond has geese and ducks. We used the location as a central point for bicycle adventures around the surrounding area and it worked great. Wonderful lunches in Sasetta and Suverette. We will definitely go back.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were polite and helpful. If I had an issue of any kind it would be that the wireless internet was disappointing...but this is not a location where you want to be spending too much time on a computer.

Wonderful, "classy" hotel. Beautiful panoramic view, comfortable room, lovely interiors, excellent, friendly service, consistently delicious meals. We needed rest and relaxation after strenuous business activity. This hotel far exceeded our expectations. Bravi all around!

La Bandita - Wonderful Stay

Italian Wine Country Paradise
Located just a few kilometers from a beautiful medieval village (Castegneto Carducci), and just a short drive from another walled city in the middle of super-Tuscan wine country (Bolgheri), Tenuta la Bandita is an idyllic setting to relax and enjoy the beauty of this region. Everyone on the staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. Our room was huge (as was the bathroom), the food was outstanding, and being able to eat on the terrace overlooking the valley was almost more than we could believe. A wonderful blend of tranquility and Tuscan ambiance!

What a wonderful experience! The hotel is an old villa in the heart of the Bolgheri region, ideal for a relaxing vacation. The staff is really nice and helpful, rooms are spacious with antique pieces of furniture that make you feel like a queen! The food is great, they use their own products, everything is fresh and delicious. Dinner on the terrace overlooking the valley is a very romantic experience. I was very sad when we had to leave :(

The standard room we booked turned out to be a very small dark room at the back of the property, with no aircon, no bedside tables and with a lot of noise from the plumbing pipes. Due to lack of aircon, the windows had to be open, with attendant noise from the carpark and from donkeys. This (plus plumbing noises) meant we could not hear the TV, which had one English channel, and had the sound limited. The breakfast buffet often ran out of bread. Coffee was poor - out of thermos flasks. Upon request one espresso or cappucino was provided per person. More than one attracted a charge, as did bacon and eggs. Pool loungers were always full, so we didn't use the pool. Parking was also full on 2 occasions. Not at all relaxing. I asked to change the room, but none was available. Was told that I had only booked a standard room!

A slice of Paradise!!
Everything about this place is superb, from the moment you arrive you are made to feel so welcome. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and everything has a wonderfully genuine touch to it. The rooms are exquisite with original features blending effortlessly with comfortable bedroom furniture. The breakfasts, whilst self serve have everything you would want and the dinners are without doubt some of the finest I've ever tasted. Can't stress how great this place is!! Treat yourself and try it.

Amazing Hideaway
Tenuta La Bandita is a little out of the way, but that makes it all the more enjoyable. Tucked in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, near a cute hilltop town with to-die-for gelato (Sassetta), it is a gem of a small hotel. The staff is efficient and friendly (and fluent in several languages), the landscape is beautiful, and the food - grown and cooked on site - is simply marvelous. The beds are a bit hard (perhaps it is the Italian way) but otherwise the hotel gets five stars from me. I can't wait to go back!

Prachtig landhuis maar veel van de kamers zijn in een naastgelegen gebouwtje, veel minder mooi dan de foto’s op de site doen beloven. Het ontbijt was zeer matig (brood op, borden op, kaas zwetend want niet gekoeld). Diner was niet ook niet zo lekker. Wij vonden de prijs niet in verhouding met de kwaliteit.

Tenuta La Bandita liegt sehr schön etwas abseits der Touristenströme, trotzdem ist alles mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen, die Umgebung bietet sich an für Wanderungen oder Fahrradtouren. La Bandita liegt idyllisch zwischen Olivenbäumen und Korkeichen, mit einem wunderschönen Blick vom Pool ins Tal und auf die umliegenden Hügel. In der Küche und dem Restaurant wird das hauseigene frische Gemüse verwertet, dementsprechend lecker sind z.B. die frischen Tomaten. Das Frühstück ist eher typisch italienisch, dafür mit verschiedenen selbstgebackenen Kuchen. Frühstück und Abendessen werden auf der schön gelegenen Terasse vor dem Haupthaus eingenommen. Das Abendessen ist sehr geschmackvoll zubereitet, die Preise sind nicht überteuert. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten unseren Hund mit, und wirklich alle sind absolut tierlieb und hilfsbereit. Der Pool hat eine schöne Größe, es ist alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in La Bandita genossen und kommen gerne wieder.
