I now recognize the common them in this bad visits
The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable, while one pillow had a stain. Did not use the shower/tub, so aside from the sink and a wash cloth the bathroom was untouched. The TV did not work (from the buttons) and the remove batteries were corrodes, so that was a minor loss. Strong wifi. It all feel apart due to my interaction with the non-native English speaking desk clerk. He demanded a credit card for 'Incidentals,' of which I told her to turn off any ability I had to encounter incidentals. Then he said it was a "security deposit," but that I should not worry because my card would not be charged - O,K. then why take it? He said I could leave cash if that was my preference. Sorry, but I don't trust him with either.
I asked did I look like a member of KISS or Motley Crew and at 64 did I look as if I presented a risk to the integrity of the room or the hotel at large.
Due to his perceived attempts to load me up with charges, I took an exit video of the room before I went down to take an apple and a small bit of Raisin Bran so I could hit the road again my 6:30. It only takes one bad visit for me to stop using a brand, and this visit to Jakarta Savannah was the one.
