This is a really cute hotel. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They try to accommodate requests whenever possible. It’s in a great location. I wanted to highlight the jewelry store 1/2 a block over which has really nice and affordable locally made jewelry. The owner is really sweet. If you are staying in Savannah for something at the convention center, you will need time to take the ferry. It’s less than a 10 minute walk to the ferry landing. Unless you have a car with you, you have to account for an extra 30 minutes to get to the convention center. The WiFi is a bit slow. There was no refrigerator in my room. The front staff gives bags of ice when requested. The fixtures in the rooms are dated/classic (depending on your taste). There is always hot coffee. Wine and cheese is also available in the late afternoon. I would stay here again. I wish I could give it 4.5 stars but that wasn’t an option.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff is very friendly and we enjoyed the complimentary wine and cheese hour and evening cookies. The location is fantastic, however it is loud in the evenings and the mornings from traffic and construction nearby. The hotel needs a major upgrade as there is paint peeling off the walls and is outdated. However, the property was clean. I would stay again at the right price.

I enjoy hotels with a more historic, authentic feel to them than the larger chains. Planter’s Inn perfectly fit that mold! It is in the center of the historic area of Savannah and within short walks to River Street and Market Square. The rooms were clean and beautiful! And the staff was wonderful and accommodating.
