This is a great choice in SavuSavu. Sarita, who ran the place while we were there, was so kind and attentive. The breakfast she made us was fantastic as was a dinner on one evening .( the best meal of our stay in the area) It is located above town, without noise and traffic of but convenient enough for exploring. We arrived in a pre-arranged 4x4 taxi but, if you are willing to make the effort of walking up the hill which is a combo of dirt road and concrete steps that are fully illuminated at night ,it was challenge that we really enjoyed. After a little huffing and puffing, we relaxed with a quick shower and chilled on the terrace. Amazing. With incredible views of the harbor, the new marina, and the whole enclave of SavuSavu, the place is breathtaking. Plenty of food and drink options within walking distance. The rooms are extremely clean, plenty of space, interesting lighting with high quality local decor and materials. The very private outdoor shower and bathroom space connected to your room works very well. Inside/outside dining area on a spectacular terrace is a highlight. Plunge pool is a nice touch. We were super happy with our choice to stay at Naveria Heights.

Our stay at Naveria Heights Lodge was fantastic. The location is superb and the staff is one of the nicest we have seen in a while! We enjoyed the breakfasts and the room. The accommodation is positioned on a steeper hill, so you need 4x4 to get up there if you are planning to rent a car. It is a short walk to the town, however, you can ask for a driver to bring you to places if you like. Vinaka, we loved it! Nela & Stefan

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this resort in Savusavu, and I can't recommend it highly enough! The climb really isn’t bad at all (6 minutes tops) and the breathtaking views that await you are absolutely worth every step. Logically, if you have a weak knee or are late-stage pregnant, I would recommend a taxi but it was a welcomed bit of exercise for me since I just jumped in the plunge pool once I arrived. Overlooking the waters of the bay and lush, tropical greenery, the panorama is nothing short of stunning. The sunset on my last day was one of the best I have ever seen. Each morning, I looked forward to the delightful breakfast spread (I learned papaya and avocado are excellent together). The air-conditioned rooms were a blissful retreat ensuring a comfortable and restful night's sleep - this is my weakness so might not be a big deal for you. What truly sets it apart, though, is the staff. Their warmth and hospitality made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. I even asked them about how to be a good husband and father since I had just learned I was going to be a dad before arriving and was a little nervous.

Amazing staff and property! Felt like home. Only a handful of rooms. Felt like we had our own private chef. Food is delicious and highly recommend ordering their meals. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Grounds are meticulously kept up. It's a steep driveway, but the views are incredible and worth it. Wish we could've stayed longer. Highly highly recommend.

Very embellished The small pool and mountain balcony views are shared amongst all (not private). Walls are thin, air con/fans barely work. Everything in the room was old and delicate. You can't eat in your room. There is no menu for anything. You can't buy bottled water and the rainwater supplied is actually driven up in a truck. The truck is not safe enough for children to ride in. And is the only option for getting to and from the lodge (at $15 per way). That said the staff are wonderful and kind, it was very clean. The views lovely. The rooms need to be upgraded and privacy/security upgraded. A menu offered. An actual safe (not a lockbox). And gates to prevent other guests walking in front of your windows. Fine for a night or 2 but too expensive for what you get.

Best things about the lodge are the staff and the views. Staff are super accomodating, very friendly and great people to know. They’ll go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. The views are also incredible. Breakfast is light but filling - perfect for the hot weather. Swimming pool is small but nice for a dip. Only negative is that the only way up to the lodge is a series of steep hills. It’s pretty gravelly as well, so it’s difficult to walk. Even though there are stairs up to the lodge, it doesn’t go all the way to the street. It might be a good idea to hire a 4WD as taxis will not typically go up that driveway (it’s easy to drive around and was super convenient). The lodge does provide complementary transfer from the airport to the lodge, but you’ll need to figure the rest out yourself or pay for the service. Loads of mosquitoes in Savusavu so bring extra repellent! There’s a really nice swimming spot with coral and fish by Split Rock (6 mins drive from the lodge). 10 minutes walk from the lodge is the town with all the ammenities you need. The locals’ food is good and cheap - I recommend the pulao/palau that’s in the restaurant opposite Savusavu yacht club/next to Bargain Box. Copra Shed has a nice restaurant with vegetarian options (you’ll need to ask about it as it’s not on the menu) and a view. Overall, great place to stay and great introduction to Savusavu. There’s also a super friendly German Shepard dog on site for cuddles so 1 for that.

READ BEFORE BOOKING! this property is the equivalent of 21 flights of stairs up a steep gravel driveway. They say “free local transfers” but actually force you to pay $20 FJD each way to the main road. It is unsafe and very easy to fall on the steep driveway. As we were the only guests, only breakfast was an option, forcing us to go into town two a day (either hike or pay $20 each way). $80 a day for lunch and dinner, if you can’t do the hike. Not very relaxing. We asked for our subsequent nights to be refunded, the owner Sharon ignored our request. We asked for the free transfer to the main road (as advertised), which Sharon declined. Otherwise, the property is beautiful and the view is amazing. Staff member Jasmine was very friendly and an amazing chef. She did a great job at keeping us happy despite the fact that we wanted to get out of the place and stay somewhere with easy access. The driveway is steep and dangerous. If you want to hike up and down, be careful!!

Me and my wife had a great time at the property. The views are breathtaking and not to be missed. Sharon takes care of her guest very well. Her staff are amazing, Sarita and the other two girls. Had a great time. Please only drive a 4WD up the steep hill or work with Sharon to arrange pickup.

The road to the Lodge needs work, but the owner is addressing the issue ASAP. Anyone must bear in mind that workers work on “Island Time” though, so one must have patience. The view is top notch, & Sharon, the owner, bends over backwards to help. Zeus, the Dog, is a lovely addition.

Clean room comfy bed. Nice views. Breakfast was nothing special and its such a rough go at getting up and down to this location..u will need to hire a 4x4 everytime you want to leave or come back to it. 15 fiji dollars each way...everytime you want to go and return. Steep & sometimes muddy hill to climb.

Awesome Views - Trek up to the lodge NOT AWESOME
BULA! First and foremost let me mention the view. It’s absolutely amazing. The bad is that the trek up to the lodge is brutal. The road is not paved, and it needs to be graded level. It’s steep and full of uneven spots so if you have a bad back I would not recommend it. I was tossed around like a rag in a dryer! Most of the taxis can’t get up to the lodge and even our rented 4x4 couldn’t do it. We had to pay the guy at the end of the long driveway $10 Fijian dollars each way to get us up and down to the lodge. However, without the steep incline you wouldn’t get the views. It was worth it to me. The staff is amazing and made our trip so enjoyable! The provided breakfast is plentiful, healthy and delicious. Someone left a review about the lizards and bugs in the house. Of course there’s small geckos and some tiny bugs. This is a tropical island! The geckos didn’t bother me nor were they a nuisance. I only saw a few Bugs during my 6 day stay. This is one of my favorite places to stay. If you have no physical limitations due to the drive up and down from the street, you’ll love this place.

Let me start with the property itself: it is absolutely amazing, it is very clean and the rooms are beautiful (although very noisy) and the views from here are absolutely STUNNING! Getting there however is a different story: the steep and uneven hill makes that the town is a bit of a challenge to get to. You need to have a good fitness or a 4x4 to hike up and down the hill. The owner is only interested in her Detox clients as this is something you can book on their own website and not so much in clients booking via Expedia. One tip: book the massage! The woman who does these is amazing!

Primitive - beyond rustic
Listing is absolutely fraudulent. Outside shower, no electric in bathroom yet they say there is a blow dryer. Must use a hand carried lantern in bathroom, cold water only shower is outdoors. There were lizards and other pests in the room. Driveway is so steep and rutted that taxis would not come to the property. Treacherous stairway down from the property to the street. I was injured because the steps were covered with moss and the handrail was rotted and crushed when I held on.

Great place for exercise
Beautifully constructed and maintained lodge. Incredible view of the harbor and bay. Steep, unpaved road for about 1/2 km to the lodge. Normal taxis will not take you there so you will have to arrange a 4 wheel drive taxi. If you are reasonably fit you can hike up from the paved road - we did it several times and we are in our 70’s - even hauled up our carry on luggage the first time because we couldn’t get a taxi to take us. Loved the place!
