Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model offers a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the foundation Vacation in architectural monument (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society.Car park: The car park is right next to the house and is not covered. Access to the house is guaranteed. In winter, when there is a lot of snowfall, the roads may not be easily passable. Winter tyres and snow chains are then an advantage.Public transport: By train to Scuol, local buses run from Scuol Staziun. From the Bügl Grond bus stop it is 200 metres to the Engadinerhaus.Number of persons 5: A baby cot (up to 2 years) is available. The house offers space for five guests (plus baby). Flat 2 is located on the 2nd floor. On entering, you are directly in the living/dining room with an open-plan kitchen. There is a separate bathroom next to the kitchen. There are two double rooms and one single room. If required, flat 1 and flat 2 can be rented together to accommodate 11 people. The floors are made of wood, which is why we recommend good slippers. Garden: There is an outdoor area in front of the house, which is shared with the guests of flat 1.WLAN: Is available, also a television.Open: The house can be rented all year round.Pets: Pets are allowed.Altitude: 1300 metres above sea level.IMPORTANT ADDITION The Chasa Engadina is a listed building that has been renovated with great respect for the existing fabric. The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care.
