The Arctic Hotel is very conveniently located along a transit line with multiple buses, and also within walking distance (or short drive) to King Street Station, major entertainment stadiums, the waterfront, and Pike Place, etc. All of the staff are incredibly helpful and polite. Although we missed out on the breakfast buffets, we did enjoy some drinks at the Polar Bar. The bed was comfortable, and we appreciated that robes were provided, as well as mini fridge access, and complimentary coffees and teas. If given the chance, I would recommend upgrading to a room on a higher floor, as the noise and lights from the street can be a bit much at night (the blackout curtains did not cover every gap along the window sills). Or be sure to pack ear plugs and eye masks (although the room does have a sleep pack available for purchase). I did find the rooms a bit on the darker side despite turning on every single light available, and the fan in the bathroom didn't seem to work very well. Overall, we did enjoy our stay and would likely choose this hotel again if we are attending an event at Lumen Field or T-Mobile Park.

Loved this trip to the Arctic!
Fantastic historic building decked out with images of Arctic exploration. Everyone at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful from arrival to departure. Breakfast spread was great, and the bar area was quite cool. Location on Pioneer Square is convenient for public transit lines, including the Link and many bus lines, along with the ferry terminal. I would absolutely stay again!

Staff was incredible, professional and very helpful. We had a corner room and although no fault of the hotel but our room overlooked a garbage dumping area. From the street it’s not visible as it’s in a big square area where maybe a building used to be. It’s not construction debris it’s garbage bags of trash. Lots of homeless people on the block across the street. They didn’t bother with us. Kinda stay to themselves. We did get stuck on the elevator for 6-7 mins, pressing alarm and call button and no one came. Finally got the door open and got out safely. Then I had a panic attack from being so scared and knowing I would have to get back in the elevator to get downstairs. We notified security, he notified front desk, they emailed the Assistant Manager Kevin and he called me via hotel phone in our room. Apologized for it happening, said his staff and other guest were using it and it was working fine but would have his engineers follow up on it. He asked if there was anything he could do. I said no but to have comped us something or a partial refund for a nights stay would have been a nice gesture that I should not have had to ask for. I told him to look at the cameras and he would see what happened and he would see us getting out of elevator and me having the panic attack. No comment was made when I said that. There were cameras there. Perhaps they didn’t work is maybe why nothing was said. I don’t know. On our shower ceiling there was black mold. I didn’t report this.

A really beautiful property in a centrally located spot. I couldn't have asked for anything better with the room. Clean and came with some amazing bath robes. I did valet parking which was a little expensive, but worth it to make sure my car was safe during the night.

Property was very nice with exceptional staff. This place is a former gentleman’s social club for Seattle’s statesmen from the early 1900’s with lots of history, character and charm, and is not just another chain hotel. Location was very convenient to all the local attractions from the wharves to Chinatown, Pioneer Station, Pikes Market, stadiums, and much more. I read reviews about others’ concern with homelessness but we never felt unsafe and it wasn’t any different than any other large city. The breakfast was also excellent; not the usual ’free breakfast’ offered by other hotels. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone.

Front desk staff were very nice. The room was cute with a sweet towel animal on the bed at arrival. The baseboards and carpets need cleaning theoughout the hotel. The biggest concern was the homeless camping across the street. Ambulances called for an overdose at the encampment. Wouldn't walk the streets around the hotel. Even during the day the block was swarming with them. One man just relieved himself midday and didnt care who saw. Not the hotels fault...but safety was a concern.

The hotel is beautiful, restored very nice, the lounge and restaurant area were relaxing. Staff were helpful and cordial. The only let down was the area outside the hotel. Nothing they can do about it. The homeless, and drugs were out of control, mentally deranged people around the area made it feel very uncomfortable. So inside the hotel was certainly a safe haven.
