Stayed for 8 nights with my Wife. Really loved it. Staff were amazing. Pool area was top notch for laying around sipping drinks around the pool bar. Plenty of places to eat and drink right outside. Wife really enjoyed the Spa treatments, massages and hair session. Breakfast and dining options were good. Cant say enough about the staff, i was constantly amazed by how friendly and engaged the staff were with the guests. Was in deluxe room and was really nice. Will definitely stay there again. Read a few reviews that mentioned the property was a bit tired.. While i agree abit of a paint touch up wouldnt hurt, the place is kept very clean and the grounds are beautiful and tropical feeling. Also read some reviews mentioning noise. Wasnt a problem for us.. Sure there is the sounds of the tropics at night, but hey its Bali. We were up front so there was some accoustic serenading from the bar across the street at night, but we found it relaxing. If its a problem maybe ask for a room down the back of the resort?

The feel of the place was relaxing. It was the quiet season when we visited Bali so I appreciated the place not feeling too busy or over crowded. We stayed in the superior villa and I appreciated it’s authentic old feel of Bali, am grateful I didn’t book just a standard room as it was nice to walk through the gardens to our own separate hut!. The room was a little run down but it was really comfortable and we still enjoyed our stay, you’ll need to consider the stairs up to the room should you book this type of room. Overall the amenities are simple, hairdryer was weak, housekeeping was good, the place generally felt safe, although hubby tried to close the light in the wardrobe and got an electric shock due to an unusual style of wiring, overall the place felt secure and pleasant. Fresh bottled water was replaced daily for the use of brushing your teeth. The water in the shower was pleasant and warm. The pool area and swim up bar was also a little run down and the cocktails certainly needed improving, you’ll need to stick to the bottle beers or mixes if you want value for money. The staff are friendly. The complimentary shuttle twice a day to Seminyak square is helpful. But the 25 minute walk to the main heart of Seminyak is do-able. The surrounding area is pretty good. Little Revs is a 1 minute walk for good coffee and easy walking to pretty amazing eating areas too. I would certainly recommend staying at Hotel Villa Lumbung.

The staff were so kind and helpful, loved the service they provided and friendly attitude. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and loved walking around the courtyard. The only thing negative is the rooms are out dated and in need of restoration and paint work. Besides that we enjoyed our time @ Villa Hotel Lumbung. Thank you Richard and Reitu Ross 16/01/2025

The property has aged quite a bit. The photos aren’t reflective of the current state. The staff was extremely nice and receptive however, an are the shining light within this hotel. They were attentive, remembered who we were, and promptly helped to carry our bags during checkin and checkout. The one concern I had was that the water bottles we were given weren’t “sealed” and had simple metal caps. It helps when the bottles have a seal you have to break to open, so that you have some validation that you were the only one to open it.

I would stay again

Hotel was built in 1996 so clearly showing signs of its age. Staff were lovely but with so many trainees (cheap labour) so much to learn but their enthusiasm and big smiles made it a very welcoming place. On a positive note, the grounds are really nice with mature trees and some wildlife living amongst the environment. Big negative was having to save a lady from drowning because the so called swimming teacher only had eyes on a child she was teaching with no concern for the woman. Her excuse, “it wasn’t her turn and she had told her to stay in the shallow end” that she had obviously slipped off. I did teacher how stupid she was as she had 2 eyes and was only 3m away Breakfast was good enough and location not too bad. Room price was fine too
