I suspected the room we had was supposed to be under service but assign to us. First thing, the door card gave us issue on our first day. And we have to go up and down thrice times before the front desk staff came up together to get the card rectify. (Annoying! And give us a ??? Face, of cause, because it’s not her problem) There are black stains on the towel suddenly, which was puzzling. Until the last night, mystery solved, it was from the carpet in the room. My daughter put her bag on the floor and the next day, there is a dark stain on her bag. Middle of the seat, water pipe leaking below the basin 😑. The lifts, too forever to come. You can just stay and wait for 4-5 mins for your lift to come. And it will just change as and when. Like you are waiting for Lift 1 then change to Lift 2 and back to Lift 1 again. Rather crazy. Front desk, seems like there is only 1 lady who can speak fluent English…! The only good thing is, the hotel location is conveniently near subway and myeongdong street.

Water from the shower stall do make its way out to the toilet floor. I do agree that most visitors, especially first time visitors to Korea, would prefer Korean style breakfast in the morning but strengthening the Western style breakfast would be nice.

We absolutely loved our stay at Aloft Myeongdong! The hotel's location is unbeatable – right in the heart of the city, making it incredibly convenient to explore nearby attractions, shopping spots, and dining options. The Myeongdong subway station is just a short walk away, which made getting around so easy. Our room was fantastic – modern, spacious, and immaculately clean. The thoughtful design and comfortable amenities made it the perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing. We especially appreciated the cozy bed and the quiet ambiance that ensured restful nights. The staff were exceptional – warm, attentive, and always ready to assist with any request. Their friendly service truly elevated our experience. Great stay for our family!
We had a really comfortable and wonderful stay on our family trip with our toddler. Staff is very helpful and friendly and the suite we had allowed for us to create another room for our toddler. Only downside is there aren’t toddler beds or pack and plays available so we brought our own but that’s the case with other hotels in the area as well. Our room was beautiful, had great views and was attended to well. If you’re looking to stay in Gangnam I highly recommend this hotel!
