MD Hotel Doksan is an older establishment that has recently undergone a name change. Located in a quiet neighborhood, the hotel is ideal for those seeking a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city. However, it is about a 20-minute walk to the nearest train station, and the area lacks amenities, with only Lotte Mart just a four-minute walk away. Unfortunately, the staff's demeanor leaves much to be desired; they are often unfriendly and have limited English proficiency, typically responding with simple "yes" or "no" answers. During our week-long stay, my wife and I noticed that our bed sheets were not changed despite daily requests for housekeeping. The carpets were old and dirty, and the overall cleanliness was disappointing. Additionally, we experienced issues with the door keycard, which delivered an unpleasant static shock when opening our room. This problem seemed to affect not only us but also four other rooms occupied by friends on different floors. The elevator service was slow, and the keycard system often malfunctioned, making it frustrating to navigate between floors. Overall, our experience at MD Hotel Doksan was far from satisfactory, and I would not recommend it for couples or international tourists. However, it may be a consideration for locals, as we observed a significant number of Korean guests staying there.

The hotel was clean and well organized. Housekeeping staff cleaned our room very well and fill up our fridge with bottled water every single day. Amenities were sufficient for travellers to use, such as free parking, microwaves and coin laundry. You also receive a welcome gift, free bread from the cafe. Our room was a corner room on the 14th floor and the views were fantastic. We had the view of the city as well as the mountain nearby.

Front counter service acceptable. Beds alot of bed bugs could not sleep tne last 5 nights- sheet were not cbanged. Aircon and heater in room not working and very stuffy. Alot of static in room door. Not family or kids or elderly friendly hotel. Other than that everything is acceptable

Conveniently located in a quiet, business district, MD Hotel was the perfect location for me. I appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel and its quiet atmosphere. The Lotte Castle is right by the hotel, which is home to many, many restaurants, cafes, convenience stores and even a grocery store! There were a few other facilities nearby… including a nail salon, hair salon, and prescription glasses store. Really convenient area. My favorite thing about it was the quiet, calm atmosphere.

Impressive 3 star Hotel
Once I finally arrived at the hotel I was glad I chose to stay there. It’s a quiet location away from the hustle but close enough to reach. The front desk staff Jenny and David are the only ones who effectively communicate with foreign customers. The Maps software doesn’t work in S Korea so be aware. My taxi driver took me to the wrong hotel and I couldn’t track him due to lack of navigation. The amenities they offer is more in line with 3.5 stars. They have ice and water dispensers on every floor. The house keeping staff are very friendly and made sure I had everything for a comfortable stay. The sofa was a nice touch and the breakfast buffet was good

MD HOTEL DOKSAN was absolutely what I needed super super clean everything you need very comfortable bed luxurious bath… great price… although it is quite far from centre at least 1hr or 1.5hrs away but very close to public transport… if your not pressed for time it’s perfect.
