Great Cabin, but Missing a Bed!
Pros:
Clean and festively decorated with Christmas touches.
Well-stocked kitchen.
Hot tub was clean and worked perfectly.
Comfortable living area with plenty of seating and cozy throw blankets.
Fireplace added a nice touch of warmth and ambiance.
Pool table, arcade, and board games provided great entertainment.
Conveniently close to Gatlinburg, Smoky Mountain National Park, and other attractions.
Cons:
The second bedroom was shown and described as having one king and one twin bed, but the twin bed was missing. One of my kids had to sleep on the pull-out sofa, which disrupted the use of the space in the evenings.
The management company wasn’t aware of the issue, and the person I messaged through the VRBO app simply referred me back to the management company.
The master bed felt like an "economy" mattress and could benefit from a topper or slight upgrade.
Notes:
Mountain roads are steep, narrow, and curvy—drive carefully!
The cabin uses well water, which is drinkable but has a discolored appearance and typical well-water taste. Bring a Brita filter or bottled water if preferred.
The "driveway" is more of a pull-off in front of the cabin, and if parking two cars, one will likely be on an incline.
Overall, this cabin is a great option, but the missing bed was a frustrating issue. The listing has since been updated to reflect accurate bed availability, but the floor plan still incorrectly shows a twin bed in the second bedroom at the time this was written.
