The Blue Elm was a perfect landing place for exploring the Berkshires for a few days. We were looking
for somewhere peaceful, comfortable, and clean; Nick and Tiffany’s cottage delivered on all accounts. It
was exceptionally clean; we’re the kinds of people who do an extra round of cleaning when checking
into a hotel or rental and it was apparent that the surfaces of this home were legitimately cleaned prior
to our arrival. The screened-in porch was lovely for unwinding and having a snack. The kitchen, though
small, was thoughtfully appointed with the essentials, including properly sharpened knives! Thoughtful
touches throughout, including benches in all the right places, large pump bottles of quality soaps,
shampoos, etc., and plenty of reading material. The welcome binder wasn’t just a generic list of places in
the area, but rather a list of hand-picked favorites complete with the reasons why Nick and Tiffany
included them on the list. This property has the attention and care of someone’s personal home, just
without the shared spaces. All of these details, combined with Nick’s professional attentiveness, helped
make this a great stay.
