Cozy, quaint cottage in a great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants in Silverton. Tastefully decorated and nicely updated kitchen and bathroom. Very comfortable! A nice, quiet neighborhood and peaceful back deck overlooking the creek.
It was relaxing and perfectly located. The house was perfect with little touches that didnât go unnoticed. If you are thinking about the house, do not hesitate, it will not disappoint.
This utterly charming small home on the creekside in Silverton, OR was a great pick for exploring nearby Silver Falls State Park. Very comfy bed, plenty of hot water, clean and only a block from downtown Silverton. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. Communication with the property manager was excellent. We had coffee and drinks by the creek every day. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed three nights at the cottage and unfortunately didnât enjoy it as much as other reviewers. Upon arrival, we found a large spider above the bed and another near the bathroom, which immediately raised our anxiety. Though the location was greatâjust a short walk to restaurants and shopsâwe were in town for a family reunion and spent most of our time away.On our third night, we returned around midnight to find two more giant spiders in the bedroom. This was extremely distressing, and we ended up sleeping on the couch. I messaged Audry and the property manager, and while Audry acknowledged it was spider season in Silverton and promised more traps, it didnât ease our discomfort. In addition to spiders, there were ants traveling from a kitchen outlet to the cabinets. Ant traps were placed throughout the house, and we even found ants in the dish rack after hand-washing dishes. We kept all food sealed and personal items closed to avoid taking any pests home.Despite the insect issues, the cottage itself was charming and matched the photos. The bed was comfortable, the shower had great pressure, and the back deck overlooking the creek was wonderfully relaxing. Without the pest problems, it would have been a lovely stay.
We really enjoyed our stay in Silverton, and for just 2 - 3 people, this is a really great place to stay. Our favorite part was waking up and having breakfast on the back deck over the river. Just beautiful and relaxing. We were lucky to have great weather while in the area.It was really nice to walk 100 yards and we were downtown, with many restaurants and shops from which to choose. We have family out in the country northeast of Silverton, as well as family and friends all around Salem, so this was the perfect location to be in the middle of everyone. The neighbors are nice, and the area feels safe. We were very happy staying here.
I took a solo trip to Oregon for a little me time..my plan was to spend a lot of time hiking and in nature. The cottage was perfect. I loved sitting on the back porch to write in my journal early mornings. I saw deer, raccoon, squirrels, birds, butterflies, and more. Silverton is a wonderful little tow with kind people, good food, cute shops, art, and lots of music. I walked everywhere. I hiked the trail of Ten Falls and also drove a little further to visit other hikes in OR..I highly recommend Silverton as a destination in OR and the cottage was the perfect place to stay for a perfect trip. Can't wait to go back!!
Exactly as described, with so many thoughtful touches (hair drying towels? check! aromatherapy? check!). Walking distance to great restaurants, with recommendations provided. And the sound of the creek while sitting out back was outstanding after a long day of hiking Silver Falls State Park. Absolutely will make our way to Silverton to stay here again. Thank you.(Should mention: there are ants, with safe, effective Terro baits in place. It's a seasonal issue in the Willamette Valley, *not* a housekeeping failure.)
We loved the cabin- itâs clean, modern, simply and tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed to feel at home. We enjoyed the sights and sounds of the creek in the backyard and the location was amazing! Just a block from downtown, we enjoyed having everything within walking distance. There was even a sweet farmers market on Saturday just at the corner church parking lot. Overall 10/10! We will definitely stay here again.
A charming cottage with a serene, rolling creek that melts stress. Other than quick changes of the shower water temperatures, I couldnât be more pleased with the cleanliness, charm, comfort (couch is a sleep magnet zone)and conveniences. Highly recommended. PS Iâm elderly and cane dependent if that helps a decision. Many thanks!
Everything about this cottage was arranged with thought and good taste, including simple decorations, furniture, and kitchen items. We instantly felt at home, except more relaxed, not being surrounded by our own chores and to-do lists! It was easy to walk to restaurants and shops by crossing the charming covered bridge. In the other direction I found the Art Center and a beautiful park, and a second footbridge to the Library and History Museum. Highlights of our trip were the Silverton Holiday Market, dinner at Oso, and all the friendly people we spoke with in shops and elsewhere. Highly recommended! We'd have enjoyed the back patio, except it was cold and rainy most of our visit.
