We were a group of mothers and daughters (ages 14-17) traveling together for a horseback riding clinic in Moorpark. The home’s location was IDEAL! We also had five trucks to park each night and the neighborhood provided ample parking and space for our big vehicles which was amazing and not always assumed when we travel! Steve, the on-site co-host, met us at check-in to have us test the access, make sure we found all the home instructions, and answered questions about the home and amenities. We did not opt to heat the pool but the kids still used it each evening for a quick cool-down. The home allowed us moms to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner and was well appointed with all the necessary utensils, appliances, and tools!! The linens were soft and comfortable! There were plenty of towels for the pool use and for each restroom. There were ceiling fans in each room which helped keep us cool at night. We used the air condition (which worked well) but had been told at check-in that it also cooled the co-hosts’ attached apartment so we felt like we needed to be very careful not to make it too cool, which meant that at night the rooms did get a bit warm. There were ants in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom but we found Raid under the kitchen sink and solved that problem very quickly. This is not impact our stay, but the curb appeal at arrival was a little misleading as the front yard is quite overgrown and unkept with weeds. The house itself…awesome!!
