The room was spacious for a group of 4 travellers and was more than I expected in Singapore. The location of the hotel was well situated and within walking distance of multiple train stations and Chinatown. The building itself is dated and there is an elevator that does not read the card when going up. All of our cards also got locked out for some unknown reason after a single night. Room service could be improved, we called specifically to request fresh towels which we never received.

Hotel lobby was nice and staff were friendly. Rooms were small and basic which I knew however the air con leaked and when I reported it they came and ‘fixed’ it however they did not and I was very lucky it just missed my case when leaking. I showed them the water and it was through a light and when it was fixed it seemed to drip more making more noise. It was my second to last night and I gave up with mentioning it so just saw it out and stayed rather than asking to move rooms.

Aging large hotel in prime location
Aged hotel, our room is on level 19, ok overlooking view. This is a semi no frill hotel. Don't expect room services. Can tell its wear and tears all over. Hence its on cheaper rate. Carpet flooring bit dirty. On plus side, large room with massive windows, AC hit and miss, can't control the temperature. Shower ok. Lots of storage space. Located conveniently to Havelock MRT. Beware no smoking detection, some guests may had smoked in the room causing smoky smell. Management should be strict to prohibit guests smoking.

Overall, the hotel was quite good in terms of facilities and location but the rooms could do with an update as they are a little tired, particularly the bathroom. Housekeeping takes place 1 in every 3 days (unless you request more frequent cleaning), which we found to be a backward step. On the negative side, we booked our stay via Expedia, 10 months prior to our arrival date. Unknown to us, Expedia uses a 3rd party to place the booking with the hotel and that 3rd party cancelled our booking. Thankfully we had all the necessary documentation to support the booking, and a manager at Furama who was helpful. After almost 2 hours, we were able to resolve the issues.

Convenient to MRT station. Nice pool. Decent size room. Convenient 7 eleven attached to hotel. Breakfast terrible, dinner terrible at waterfall lounge, it was terrible service by the staff and the burger Pattie was raw. Not many food locations in the close surrounds.

The first room I was provided in the 'tropical wing' was pretty much uninhabitable. Very old, the shower did not work at all - I spent almost an hour trying to fumble around in the old bath trying to get any water to come out. All I could acheive was a small cold trickle but not enough to shower under. The room was in on the 6th floor. Also the airconditioner was so loud that you could not sleep with it on, and with it off the room was like a sauna. Also the bathroom had the smell of mold. Very very bad for $300 per night!!!! The hotel I stayed at in Thailand last for $40 per night was 4 times nicer!!! I had to complain and they moved my room to one on the 10th floor. This was much better, with a modernised shower that actually worked and air conditioning that was quiet, but the tv did not work and the room was very small. No body lotion etc. Again, for a room that is $300 per night, it was woefully inadequate - iwould value it more like $100/night at most.
