Our stay here was wonderful and by far the best value for money on our entire trip. The location is ideal to visit the center of Sorrento. Our room was clean and had a small private terrace overlooking the garden and eating breakfast (included in the price of the room) in the garden was a delight. The owner and his wife are lovely. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Giardino Archeologico was in a convenient location, walking distance to the train station as well as shopping and dinning. The room was small and basic but clean. We didn't have a private terrace, but there was a nice shared garden on the property with tables and chairs where you could sit outside for a drink and a snack. The property is located in a residential area so was fairly quiet too.

Property has a locked front gate. Had to wait for owner to open. Nobody at front desk, just owner or his wife to prepare breakfast. Room is large, with a patio. Shower is very small. Great location is the best thing Breakfast was average, not great….they did cook omelet . Overall, ok, but locked front gate and very small sign made it difficult to find.

Perfect Location

The hotel is very pretty. I love that you can walk everywhere and there’s a ton of dining options. The area felt very safe and the room itself was beautiful. Check in went smoothly and owner responded quickly. I’d definitely stay here again.

Overall a good place. Very good location to get to the Main Street in Sorrento. Like many properties there are some items that need attention. Rusty pipes on heater in bathroom. Room was roomy for Italy. Issues I had was getting checked in. I was in contact with representative to check in and he was in no rush after the perception of wanting us to check in ASAP. Ended up waiting an hour. During breakfast, the same individual was coughing all over the kitchen and food.

Just outside the main walls of Sorrento so very easy to walk to all the shopping and dining. Nice outdoor area to eat breakfast. Breakfast was fresh (pastries, cheese, meat, juice) and they will cook eggs and brew espresso drinks to order. Some rooms have private outdoor seating. AC in the rooms was essential when we visited in August.

GOOD LOCATION
Booked room for family of 4, but surprised at how small room was. Ok for 2 small (young) children to share bunk bed within arm's reach of mom & dad, but not an 18 and 21 year old. Should have booked 2 separate rooms, but was told it could accommodate 4. Why spend extra $$? My daughter ended up staying at another hotel with a friend. Staff was nice and accommodating overall. Location good.

I have never written a negative review before, but I was repeatedly disappointed here. One reason I chose it was because of the breakfast buffet. Because we had early tours the first two days, I asked for breakfast to go. The first day there was nothing, and no one to ask. The second day the to-go breakfast consisted of packaged cookies and juice. At check in, I was told the code for the gate would be sent to me via WhatsApp. It was not. When we arrived after our tour, we could not get in. No one answered the phone or buzzer, and we did not receive an immediate reply to my WhatsApp message. We booked a family room and listed our party as three adults and one child, age 16. The room had a double bed and a bunk bed. The first night, there was no rail and no ladder for the top bunk, so we moved the mattress to the floor. A ladder and rail were provided in time for the second night, but we were concerned that the bed wasn't sturdy enough so we kept the mattress on the floor. Finally, I had originally booked four nights, but realized two weeks before check in that Sorrento was really far from the Rome airport. I messaged the property to see whether I could change to three nights. I did not receive a reply. The day of check in, I asked on WhatsApp and was told I would have to ask Expedia. Expedia said it was OK with them if the proprietor agreed. He said no and I was not refunded. I understand it was outside the policy, but if you're not going to make an exception, own it.
