We were met with a negative greeting when we arrived. “Your name please…unfortunately your room isn’t ready. Come back in a hour”.Made a reasonable room request for a Monday which was met by unavailability due to rooms not ready. It was 3:30pm. An hour later we were placed in a room over loud machines. We could see into several rooms that were still dirty. The property is run down, weeds, unfriendly staff. A disappointment from our last few stays there. We requested our money back and went elsewhere to a much better location.

Be careful when booking Hotel Beckett, we booked the hotel months before and when we arrived were told we were at there hotel next door Tahoe Blue, the rooms there look nothing like hotel beckett yet you still pay the same price. Felt like a bait and switch. They were only willing to refund $44 resort fee.

The hotel was OK. You get what you pay for. I was pissed off about the resort fee that I thought was excessive and there was no "resort." It was a ruse for stinging you for breakfast charge and parking. $55/person was excessive for that. Just be honest--parking and breakfast extra. Had I known that, I might have booked a different hotel because I thought this one was cheaper than it really was. Overall, OK. I have been an extensive business traveler, and I marvel at the dishonesty of hotels sticking in extra charges so capriciously.

Location location location! Conveniently located across from the village shopping area and restaurants. With a short walk to the lake. We had the bunk suite and it was perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids. Breakfast on site, music in the evenings, coffee/tea 24/7 in the lobby. Beds were comfy. Only real complaint is that the showerhead was too high and angled for anyone under 5'8" tall. We'll definitely be back.

Staffand location were fantastic. However be aware that: parking is bad, pictures don't match the website. The remodeling was a little shoddy. Barn door on the bathroom, it was extremely hard to close, due to it being hung too low. Shower was extremely small and the shower head was coming out of the wall.

The hotel is small and cozy, with welcoming staff and modern european decor. The room service is at request only, which allows them to save resources and conserve energy. Very nice breakfast at the restaurant. Walking distance to the beach and Heavenly village. Bike rentals and wifi included. Highly recommnded for the price!

Check is at 4 we get there 2pm and just asked can we be called when our room is ready they took down my number they said they would call in an hour , we keep walking around said let’s just go in check it’s now 350 the girl up front had no idea what I was talking about! We get our room and the smell of dog hits you, stains on the floor exposed old Carpet as you walk into the bathroom, shower drain broken, for the price we paid we should Of just stayed at one of the Casino’s…. I was not impressed at all.

Hotel Becker is a decent motel. There are a lot of really old cheesy motels in South Lake Tahoe. This one is clearly a step above. They also let me bring my dog for only $35.00. The free breakfast was decent as well. The bed was extremely nice. Must be new. The shower was also very nice. I would go back to the Hotel Beckett.
