Cozy cottage
Overall very nice cottage. We had a lovely time and the views were amazing. Not great ventilation in the place and the water did not stay warm for longer than a couple minutes but that was in the description so we were prepared for that. We spent a lot of time innthe juccuzi and the wifi worked well enough with only a few hiccups here and there, which is to be expected as the property itself was secluded. The fridge didnt seem to cool much but i communicated this with the property owner. We would definitely stay here again but it would be better suitted for 2 people rather than 4. Overall a lovely homey place.

Looks nice but do t be fooled . Filthy spiders lair
This won’t be nice I’m afraid . Close to many little shops and hiking trails (but none of the 2021 dated literature tells you about anything in the local area.) We found them due to All Trails app. The shower pressure is a slow drizzle of cold/luke warm water. In fact all the water pressure was terrible I’ve lived in 3rd world countries with better water pressure. The bathroom sinks drains very slow and is cracked. It drained so slow we stopped using it. See the pictures. Cobwebs and spiders: we killed over 50 and that’s not an exaggeration we counted. That’s an infestation in my opinion. Literally every corner had cobwebs , over the bed, over the kitchen, the couch. Lighting and temperature issues, the place is muggy and even with the ac / vent running it’s a damp semi greenhouse effect making your towels never really dry. It’s a damp cool feeling 24/7. The outside flood light stayed on all night so you felt like you were sleeping in a van in a parking lot rather than a bungalow. Amenities: the dryer barely worked, there was a K cup but no coffee pot , the dishes were dirty with nice coffee stain in the cups and food stuck to plates and forks. No instructions on the stove at all. It did have a mini fridge Overall this place is 100% not what we were expecting or was presented in the site. We are completely disappointed and feel this was false advertisement at best. I would recommend people stay at any big chain hotel before here. Shouldn’t have to sweep for cobwebs

Although the property is beautiful and unique, we didn't appreciate the feeling of being watched during our stay. The owners live right next store and have a view directly to the patio and hot tub area. My daughter and I were using the hot tub and stepped out for a few minutes to grab a snack. Within 10-15 minutes the owner went up to my husband and told us we had to close the lid of the hot tub when not in use. Not in a friendly manner either. That man was watching us and it left me feeling yucky. There is a visible camera out back as well that we saw from the other property. I don't think that is ok. Also the stove wasn't working so we couldn't cook inside.

Beautiful dome house above the river
I booked this place for two top reasons; The fact it was out in the country with a river view And because it had a hot tub on the deck I was disheartened that the hot tub was not functioning. I reached out to the property owner( right next door) and she said she knew nothing about the hot tub, but her husband did. I then reached out to the property manager- left a message and sent a text- never got a reply. I loved the done house itself. And the view was amazing!!!

Cute little cottage. Unfortunately your experience was disappointing and anxiety-filled. There is little to no privacy, seeing how the owners live next door and their balcony and windows face the cabin directly. The blinds are very thin and the porch lights make it hard to sleep. Upon entering the cabin the back door was wide open it smelled of damp and mold. The hot tub was dirty with residual scum on the filters and pine needles. Again little to no privacy on back porch. The hot tub water left a rash on your skin. Went to go wash our clothes and found a dead mouse in the washer. Was a cute cabin with an amazing view. But unfortunately the stay did not reflect which was listed.

We love the beautiful surroundings and we enjoyed the hot tub after a long drive. The place is big enough for the 4 of us to spread out, my son was able to sleep on the couch. We had problems with communication, no one answered my questions before or during the stay. I wanted to know about what kind of grill they have on the property because all the stores would be closed when we arrived the day before Thanksgiving. The Wi-Fi dropped completely not just intermittently, and we were without WiFi during Thanksgiving. TV also went out without WiFi. My son figured out how to reset the router and we were able to gain access again. It would have been so simple to leave a note for guests to find and reset the router. Other than communication and WiFi issues, the place had everything we need. I brought a few other kitchen appliances because I didn’t hear back from the owners. The electric kettle and electric griddle I brought turned out to be very useful.

It’s a cute property in the woods, which we loved. There is just little hot water, not enough to support (2) showers, and barely one (as my daughter complained of it getting cold quickly). The shower is also not nice and the first day of showers, I ended up having to take an entirely cold shower. We also noticed after a day (when we left and came back) that we could smell mildew/mold. It is because of these two reasons we ended up checking out a day early. I don’t like to give bad reviews but I also don’t want someone to have the same experience we did.

Not as advertised.
Rented this property mainly as a place to sleep while coming into town for a UO football game. Listing described the place as 15 minutes from campus and that simply isn’t true, it’s a solid half hour away from UO. Upon arrival we were given a code for the door but not the gate to the property, it was a pain trying to figure out how to access the property. Once finally inside the gate, there were no signs or instructions saying to go further down the driveway to where the guest house was. Only saw one home, started putting in the code and the homeowner came out and very rudely told me the rental was down and around below where we were. Signs saying that or simply not having the property owner be a jerk would have been nice. The place itself was nice, had certain things gone better this review could be much different.

Hobbit hut on the river
This was a beautiful stay and well kept location with easy access to everything Springfield had to offer. The Mrs and I really enjoyed the weekend here, only 2 issues we found were the description is accurate, the hot water is extremely limited (maybe 10 min for a shower) and we found out late Saturday evening that the heater in the hot tub did not work (never got above 75) which was one of the main reasons we chose this. We would go back again if these two things can get fixed.

We did not realize we booked a Dome Home! What a delight to drive up and see how positively charming this little cottage is. Everything is as listed and even better in person. The view is gorgeous and so peaceful, the hot tub was hot and ready for our arrival, and the inside is charming and well kept. We had a small water leak from the washing machine hose so I contacted the property manager and he was quick with a response and was out the same day to fix it and while he was there he also balanced the chemicals in the hot tub, swept the porch and hung the bath mat... above and beyond. We ended up having to leave a day early and my only complaint would be that I wish we had more time to relax and enjoy this home. If we find ourselves in the Eugene area again, this will be where we stay.

This home is so cool! It’s a little hobbit house right on the river with so many perfect amenities built for the space. Everything was very clean and worked easily (tv, hot tub, induction stove top.) It was a bit tricky to get the hot tub cover back on by myself but a little persistence and physics got the job done. The owner’s home is right next to the rental, and that frankly made me feel safer being a solo traveler. I enjoyed a perfect, quiet few days. Thanks to the host for sharing this space - it’s pretty special!

3-Nights stay at Deerhorn
My husband and I were traveling on business with our dog and wanted to stay somewhere we could relax. I loved the unique dome cottage and the lovely views off the deck. It was very peaceful and the hot tub was perfect for relaxing. Unfortunately, the weather was very wet, so much so, that we were advised not to park near the cottage. The path down to the cottage wasn’t well lit at the top where we parked…fortunately the first time we did it in the daylight. The cottage had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.

This property is such a special place—the views, the setting, and of course, the hot tub. The cottage is well equipped and cozy. The area is so peaceful. The sounds of the river running by, the breeze through the trees, the tiny finches. It's definitely what this city dweller needed! We hope to book here again when in town to visit family, and we send our thanks to the property owners for sharing their property with us!
