I booked this hotel at and 1 hour later was admitted to emergency room for heart failure and the manager refused to cancel the reservation and kept my money. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT A BUSINESS that has no compassion for human beings.

This property was very clean, everyone was pleasant and friendly. Nice bed and pillows. Love the cookies and popcorn at 5 pm. Loved everything about this place. Would only suggest dehumidifier in room. But other wise perfect!!

Romantic getaway
We had a wonderful stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, Mohinder was very helpful letting us know about all the amenities and making us feel welcome. The hotel texted us before arriving to let us know about their afternoon freshly baked cookies, snacks and games. They had coffee, tea and water all day in the lobby. Great games and entertainment areas. Across the street private beach was lovely to wake up to and get your day started. I highly recommend this hotel. Shannon was great checking us out and giving us goodie’s for the road back home.

My stay was amazing. The staff was amazing, always saying hi and asking if we needed anything. Its in a beautifully location, short walk to the beach, very short. Room was very clean and wr had everything we needed. I will definitely book a room here again when im not evacuated from a hurricane.

Absolutely loved the property, beautiful scenery, and cleanliness. However, I am not sure if there is a type of scam but we booked the room through a third-party vendor and due to that, once we got to the hotel, we were going to be charged 180 and then told to call the manager and have the price reduced. Nonrefundable, and apparently it’s for parking and a service fee. Keep in mind on the website it was roughly $70 for one night and in total we ended up paying 240-250. We asked about the service fee and they said, it’s only because of it being booked through a third-party, and if we had came in and paid upfront, it would’ve cost less. Suspicious. The amenities and access, would per se make up for the major financial inconvenience however, it was very last second and thrown at you, especially with them Having the ability to lower the service fee in general. Overall, always have three 400 in case hotels like to sneak HIDDEN fees on you.

I was offered a $30 refund on my parking fee if I left a good review, but I refuse to do that for such a terrible establishment. I’d rather sacrifice the $30 and warn others about this scam of a deal. The so-called $44 deal is a complete joke! After checking out, Ocean Sands charged me a total of $170. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so charging for parking is absurd, especially when they’re already charging $119 in “service fees.” **What services?!** Open/Half empty - clearly used, bathroom toiletries. The breakfast? Awful—nothing but frozen, reheated food that wasn’t worth eating. The entire building reeks of mildew, and I woke up with a terrible headache and stuffy nose after just one night. It was unbearable. Expedia's offer stated I’d only owe $96 upon arrival. No mention of parking fees. The paperwork I signed mentioned fees between $89-$119, but there was no discussion of why I was being charged the max when the hotel was clearly not at capacity. This place is misleading and far from a good value. Avoid at all costs.
