Location. Location. Location. That is what this absolutely gorgeous, completely remodeled studio nestled high above Cruz Bay is all about. You have all the conveniences you need - king bed, sleeper sofa, spacious bath, fully-equipped kitchenette with apartment-sized fridge and a balcony with one of the most impressive views of Cruz Bay and the Caribbean you will ever see. You will find this location perfect, not only for its gorgeous views but because you are off the street far enough that there is no street noise nor bar scene music with absolute privacy. Our studio is on the second floor - actually three stories up because of the garage - of the highest building at Grande Bay Resort. Of course, we have elevators to get you there. You can watch over Cruz Bay, the gorgeous mountains or see nine beautiful island, including St Thomas, from the balcony. Best of all, should your dinner include a few of the islands famous libations, you don't have to get in a car and drive home. You are just steps from your island home.

Grande Bay Resort provides a fantastic swimming pool and pool deck to sunbathe. There is also a very large Jacuzzi. Our gym features the very best equipment for a good workout. Whatever you need, we have it to make your stay special.

Once you book, our management company will contact you and assist you with any needs you have to make your vacation and visit to our island memorable. They can help you provision your studio before your arrival. If you would like a greeter, they will meet you on the Grande Bay property. They would be available to take you to the studio, answer any questions you may have about St John and are there 24/7 to assist you with any special needs.

St John is unique among Caribbean Islands in that 75% of the island is controlled by the U.S. National Park Service. That means that there are not rows and rows of hotels along our beaches, which is the primary reason our beaches are the best found in the Caribbean. There are as many as 75 little bays where you can snorkel, more than 20 exceptional beaches with wonderful sand, and numerous hiking trails up and down the steep mountains that bring so much beauty to our little island. We have travelled to almost every island in the Caribbean and none are as beautiful or tranquil as St John.

We provide everything to make your stay pleasant. We are stocked with linens and towels in the bath, beach towels, beach chairs and coolers. We also provide FREE wifi and FREE telephone service to the States. If you do not have your own gear, there is also a dive shop right beside the condos that rents gear. Paddleboards and kayaks can also be rented.

If this is your first tip to our island, please let us know and we will send you our recommendations for restaurants and beaches. Our manager will also share recommendations.

While studios at Grande Bay do not have assigned parking spaces, there is a possibility our on-island manager could possibly find parking on site based on availability during your stay. If parking on site is unavailable there are several paid parking lots in the area. Several car-rental agencies also allow overnight parking as a backup.

And did I mention ROMANCE. This studio is ideal for that little get away that you both need to bring back that spark that our busy lives leave behind. You will find no more romantic place on Earth than St John. Its pristine beaches and gourmet restaurants provide the perfect location for romance, regardless of what honeymoon or special event you are celebrating.

As in the past, the Grande Bay room was very nice, clean and had no issues. Desk help was great with communication and also helping with a parking spot that didn’t come with the studio. Only problem was the visit was too short!

The Grand Bay is a great location just steps away from Cruz bay. We had a great weekend enjoying the island. The unit had a great view, the bed was comfortable and unit was clean. The furniture was a little worn but understand it is a rental. We preordered groceries and they were delivered before we checked in!! Can’t wait to come back!

Loved being close to town. GREAT view from balcony of the water and sunsets. Pool deck and hot tub great. Sun was a little low in the sky this time of year to get full sun on the pool deck, but still got plenty. Market a short walk away. Unit was clean and nicely appointed. Great beach chairs, cooler, and grill available. Friendly staff. Would DEF stay again!

Such a fantastic place! The studio was the perfect size for my wife and I, and our two children 9 and 6 who crashed on the pull out couch. The room has been updated and they did such a beautiful job. It has all your basic ammenities you would need, even a washer and dryer which comes in handy. My wife and I agreed that the bed was the most comfortable we’ve ever slept on. The location is PERFECT. Right next to Cruz bay. (shops, bars, restaurants, ferry). Being the second building away from the bay, it gave you great views, and the quietness being a little farther away. The pool and hottub were fantastic after a long day, and the four beach chairs and two coolers were a nice addition! The owners and management really go above and beyond to make you’re stay effortless. Thank you SO much for making our 3rd trip to Grande Bay a memorable one! We’ll be returning.

Perfect location. Easy walk into Cruz bay for shipping, food, night life, bars, taxi, ferry. The pool & jacuzzi were so nice after a long day, with the most beautiful view of the bay & sunset. Condo was well decorated, good kitchen, comfy bed, good bathroom, with washer/dryer combo. Staff was friendly, and provided me a parking spot free of charge. Great communication prior to & during by host. Amazing for a quick getaway or weeklong stay. 10/10 will book again.

Everything was as advertised. The condo and entire complex are well maintained. The location is within a short walk of the ferry from Redhook as well as car rental companies and restaurants. The property manager contacted us several times before our stay to make sure we understood the checkin process and to answer any questions. Highly recommend staying here!

My wife and I really enjoyed staying here for 5 nights. First time staying in Cruz bay, we liked not having to rent a car for once. Walked to dinner in town, took safari cabs to the north shore beaches and walked to Honeymoon one day. This property has everything we needed and more. Without a car, having beach chairs with backpack straps provided with the unit was a huge help. Property was very clean, a huge plus for my wife and I. We will be staying here again in the future.

We came to St. John for our honeymoon and we loved our stay in this condo! Everything was very clean and comfortable. The day we arrived the power went out on the island causing our AC and hot water to not work. We communicated this with our property manager and she came herself at 9:30pm to see if she could fix it for us so we didn’t have to wait until the next day. They had an electrician come first thing the next morning AND gave us a $100 gift card for an island steakhouse we planned to go to in order to accommodate this inconvenience. The customer service was excellent and all the staff are very kind. We loved the view from our room and highly recommend staying here! We will definitely be back :)

Nothing short of perfect!
My wife and I returned to St John celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary. Of the many choices to stay, we’re so happy we decided to stay here! The condo was perfect and we especially loved the relaxing views from the balcony. Great communication, restaurant suggestions and friendly staff at the property. Perfect Location
The location of Grande Bay is perfect. You can walk to everything in Cruz Bay. The unit itself was clean and was perfect for my husband and me. There were a few hiccups with our stay but wouldn't deter me from booking again. Our key stopped working a day early and they had to re-activate it and they could only find us parking on the day we were leaving, which was not helpful. Next time I would book a one bedroom that is guaranteed parking.

Close to downtown Cruz Bay, Grande Bay is great from a proximity and comfort point of view. We only were on STJ for three day so didn’t get a vehicle, this unit made our stay much more enjoyable. Would stay again for sure!
