A pretty blue historical home in a row of colourful clapboard houses, Gower Manor is a friendly and convenient place to stay in downtown St. John's. Bill shares his home, which is filled with antiques and collectables. He enjoys meeting the people who come to stay with him.
I had the room at the top of the home with a comfortable twin bed, a useful antique oak desk, an antique dresser, an antique chair, and a glassfront antique bookcase. There was also an array of interesting artifacts.
Breakfast was continental: coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice, hot or cold cereal, toast, yogurt. It is available "any time before lunch," to quote Bill.
I would highly recommend staying at Gower Manor, as long as you don't mind sharing bathrooms.
