A little outdated but comfortable for the price. They seem to have cleaned up nicely after the 2 storms. Hope they get back to where they were because Clearwater seems like a special place.

I was notified on site that they charge $34 for third party reservations for amenities such as parking, etc. I couldn't use their parking because I had a box truck that wouldn't fit in their garage.

Nice place with great view
Pro: Amazing view, good location, comfy bed. Con: (caveat, low season and just after hurricane) low service, bar at pool closed, no water in room or room service to get it. Area in general was good, so many places closed due to hurricane, hoping everyone can get up going and recover well. But amazing beach, found some great restaurants (crabby bar and grill)

Nice place, great staff, bad experience
It's too bad. I understand they are still cleaning up from the hurricane, however, I would have rather them cancel my reservation or tell us what to expect (as 2 other hotels did). First, the elevator wasn't working on the ocean front side of the hotel so we needed to walk across the parking garage to get to the elevators and lobby/pool. No big deal. Then the restaurant at the pool wasn't open (again, no big deal) but we were told the rooftop was open. Went up there but they were still working on getting one fixed so we walked down the street to one that was open. Returned to the room when it was ready. The room smelled awful like musty moldy wet carpet. Then when my wife went to take a shower (we were up since 3am traveling) there was no hot water. Got through the afternoon by the pool which was open. We left for a family party around 5. When we returned at around 9pm exhausted, we noticed the fire alarm strobe lights going off in the parking garage. We got in our room and although the actual fire alarm horns were not sounding, there was a weird loud noise coming from the speaker in our room. I called the front desk and he said he knew there was a problem but there was nothing he could do. No possible way we could sleep which drove us crazy but it finally stopped just around 11pm. We expected much more at $300 / night. The staff was great and feel bad for the situation the hotel put them in with unhappy guests and a hotel not quite ready to open
