Had a wonderful stay at Toftrees. The staff was lovely. Their restaurant, The Field, was excellent as always. Great food and drinks, boozy milkshakes and fries. Great bar/restaurant atmosphere. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Hotel is dated and lacks upkeep. Bathrooms could definitively use an upgrade. Beds are average to poor. Witnessed staff being unresponsive (i.e., distracted ion their cellphone) to other customers while seeking attention.

The property is rundown. They do not do cleaning service to the room at all we came back. There were no towels no cleaning of the room despite we requested television does not work service needed to come and repair it. We needed to change rooms because they did not clean our room and they did not have staff on hand. Very bad customer service.

Hotel is good but issues with breakfast menu
The room was comfortable and was good for a one-night stay for our family of four. We did have an issue with the breakfast menu on the website not being accurate. Individual menu items were listed but they now only offer a buffet for $13/person. My daughter also forgot a pair of sneakers in the room. When she went back to get them they were not in the room and had not been turned in by housekeeping.

It’s an older property which showed in fixtures, flooring, tiles but what I value overall is does it feel clean? And I was satisfied with the overall cleanliness. Was it perfect? No but upon wiping everything down, I didn’t come across a lot of dirt on the wipes. It’s actually the same bldg as the golf course clubhouse so very convenient if you’re playing golf at Toftrees. We did not eat at restaurant but there are options within 5 minutes and shopping such as a Target.
