Loved our stay at AWOL Stowe! Will definitely be coming back and hoping that the property is finished so we can enjoy all the amenities next time. The freshly baked breads and muffins in the morning were excellent. All staff were super nice. Can’t wait to come back.

Not worth the price
Expected more for the price. Cramped stairs up to room. A/C not working. TV not working, had to rummage around to discover it was unplugged. Door to room jammed. Guest reception staff not that helpful, stressed that main lodge and reception desk would close at 10 pm, emergency-only service available overnight. Just a mediocre experience overall.

The Cady Hill Lodge was a comfortable place to stay for two nights. That was all I was looking for, and that is what I got.

We had a good time. Property was clean(aside of a single "empty" on our patio) definitely not a deal breaker. I wouldn't label as a "boutique", much more of an 'upper-scale Motel'. We got the 'Alpine King Deluxe'(for reference) . Small, functional, simplistic yet... 'rustic-chic'?

Great location, lots of restaurants/shops close by. Rooms are really nice and unique. Staff is great, will defintely stay here again on my next Stowe trip.

There was a poop stain in our toilet upon arrival. Also, not sure if the same towels get folded to be re-used or not but after cleaning the second day, we put the shower mat down and it was dirty. Both things kinda creeped us out cleanliness-wise.

Would it be possible to have a friendly person at check-in, versus someone that only deigns to work at a front desk? Room was nice. However, you should warn people that it can take a very long time to get hot water. I had a cool shower this morning.

Disappointed
A few things were disappointing. No hand held shower head which is more efficient and saves water when trying to rinse off. Huge smoke alarm with blinking red light facing and illuminating the bed. Nice sitting area but could not watch TV, only from the bed. No where to put personal items in the bathroom. Nice big bath space but needs a table to sit toiletries on because sink counter space is very limited. Also, no light over bathroom sink mirror, only one light in the middle of the bathroom which is large.

Stay was decent. But every night a beeping noise would be constant through the room. You can hear all your neighbors. Not a quaint or quiet place to sleep.

We had a great stay at Bluebird Cady Hill Lodge. Our alpine room was updated simply and well run operationally. Our only dislikes were that we would have preferred having a medium/large dresser with drawers in the room, some of the ceiling lights did not work and the room temperature control was difficult.

Quaint and posh redesign to the rooms, very cozy. Didn’t appreciate being roomed so far from the pool/hot tub and that the facilities closed early at 9. Had to drive to get to the closed pool because icy road/cold and not well lit paths for back cabins. That said, nice place.
