Arrived on a Sunday evening, restaurant closed and few open in area. Wireless was non-existent, in room or lobby. Not a good choice for those who depend on WiFi.

Nice location in the Sauerland
Nice hotel, easy to find. Very helpful and friendly staff, with a number of local restaurants in easy reach. Room was not what I expected. Booked a room with three single beds according to Expedia website but got a double room. Fortunately only my son and I and could separate the double bed into two singles! Also wifi did not work in the room (4th floor) and had to sit in lounge/ reception to use the wifi.

Charming Afrikan theme in the lobby and public areas of the hotel. Staff was very helpful, allowing an early check in without extra charge, and all spoke at least some English. Restaurant had fabulous dinner menu and the wait staff was very helpful (again with the English). The morning breakfast buffet was very well prepared and satisfying. I'd definitely recommend Hotel Sunderland to anyone staying in the area and I'd book there again.

Für einen Kurztrip ohne langen Flug nach Afrika in die Savanne des Hochsauerlands ist das Sunderland Hotel ein geeigneter Ausgangspunkt für schöne Ausflüge in der Gegend. Der Wellness-Bereich über den Dächern Sunderns ist besonders bei sternklarer Nacht sehr zu empfehlen.
