Great appartment good value for money
Great welcome very informative on the local area. The appartment was lovely and clean , and had everything that you could want.It was about 20 minutes walk down the beach front to main area of Swakopmund. Also nice walk along beach in other direction to shopping mall.

Relaxed stay
As a self-catering option, Sandcastle Apartments is great. The apartment was set up with the required basics, and within walking distance of several supermarkets (assuming you are OK with walking for 30-40 minutes). The activities / tour companies I dealt with all knew where the apartments are located. Silke, the owner, is very helpful and yet unobtrusive and lets you get on with your vacation. Easy access to the beach is a plus.

Quiet and relaxed, with easy access to the beach
For those wanting a self-catering option, this is a great choice of accommodation. The beach is a short walk away, and if you are reasonably energetic the main "centre" of town is a 15-30 minute walk away. All the tour companies I dealt with knew exactly where it was. On arrival, I was given a very warm welcome and a comprehensive orientation to where things are in Swakopmund. Security is taken very seriously. The entire accommodation is well maintained. I had a relaxed time, and would look to book here again if (and hopefully when) I return to Swakopmund.

Fantastic stay, Rainer & Silke the owners were so helpful & friendly. It is more like a 25 minute walk into the centre of Swakomund but it's along the seafront so very picturesque.

My husband, 5 year old son and I stayed in the Elephant Sandcastle Apartment at the end on June. The apartment was very clean and about a 20 minute walk from the restaurants and shops in the centre of Swakopmund. The apartment doesn't have any heaters, so was cold during our stay in June. There was an additional charge for an extra bed to be set up in the living room which Hotels.com hadn't made clear. Otherwise an ok little apartment which met most of our needs.
