We stayed there twice,on way to and from. North Sidney,young girl remembered me right away, she was glad l returned. Made you feel real welcomed

Potholes in parking lot. Not directed to easiest access to room. Toilet stopped working fortunately just before check out. Room was not like advertised on website.

Pros.. -great price -convenient location -very friendly staff -great restaurant on premises -indoor pool Cons -never had a housekeeping visit despite 6 night stay -one staff member didn't know they had a pool when asked -security concern. Will address with hotel and not post publicly -rhe hotel was nice and very comfortable but certainly dated -pool hours sucked, we didn't get to use it even once in 6 nights. 9pm close is too early

When we arrived the property looked nice enough and the staff was pleasant. Our room was adequate for the price. It was noisy as there was no carpeting in the room. Everything echoed. The WiFi didn't work. When I called about it the woman at the desk came right to our room and tried to fix it. When she couldn't, she gave us a new room. In that room the WiFi was slower than dial-up internet in the 90's. The TV didn't work and the inner workings of the door handle were broken and it could only be secured via the deadbolt. The woman from the desk came back to the room and tried to fix the TV. Nothing. We went back to our original room and left first thing in the morning. There was a sign in the lobby that indicated the property had just been purchased by Raddison and that the "New Hearthstone Inn" will be coming soon. Let's hope they can improve it.

The hotel was ok for one night as somewhere to stay passing through but I wouldn't return. We had 4 adults with us but only 2 bath towels available. They told us the hotel was busy so there was nothing they could give us. The hotel is older and was obviously once a really nice hotel but presently is in need of a lot of TLC. Humidity was high and even though there was air conditioning everything felt very damp including the bed sheets and the floor.

Not worth the price of stay
The cleanliness was not the greatest. Scum in the shower and on shower head. When going to the pool we could only get one towel for a family of four since housekeeping did not show up for shift. In pool room, there was only one functioning light out of six. Had to get ice in restaurant as machine was non functional.

Room was ok. Should have been cleaner. Furniture dusty. Beds were comfortable. Only 2 towels and one facecloth for 4 people. Did not like the idea of brown towels , hard to know if cleaned correctly. Silverfish in bathroom.

Overall the property seemed adequate however there was a broken toilet in our room that was not fixed when reported, the floor was wet at all times due to moisture, bathrooms had no fans or ventilation , the pool area had only one overhead light at night so was very dark, and no elevator which made carrying up suitcases two flights hard.
