The Rocks in Sydney is a vibrant, fun neighborhood. Sydney Harbour Hotel at The Rocks is a good value in that area. It's a 5 minute walk to Circular Quay, from which you can take the train, light rail or a bus to just about anywhere in Sydney. It's another 3 or 4 minute walk from Circular Quay to the Opera House. It's not a luxury hotel, for sure - no gym, tiny pool, non-functioning hot tub - but the room was clean and comfortable, and it's a lot less expensive than the hotels in fancier neighborhoods like Darling Harbour. Overall it was a great choice for our 10 nights in Sydney.

Staff were lovely and accommodating. Our whole experience was lovely and the motel pretty quiet. This place is surrounded by gorgeous little cafes, restaurants, and stores. The view from the roof.. amazing!!! We will be back.

We spent 2 nights at the hotel. We have stayed before so knew what to expect. The parking is expensive. The hotel is now quite old and the bathrooms could do with an update. I am 75 and don't like having to step into a bath to shower.
