This property is just on the cusp of being “old”. It’s tired and despite its great proximity to Darling Harbor and dining, the hotel itself is lacking. Paper thin walls means other guests noise intrudes and the one working lift is very slow. There is little parking onsite and it must be pre-booked and if you have a car any larger than a small hatchback you may not be able to even get in. It’s tight and the corner are a nightmare. The allocated spots are shallow and narrow and stress inducing. Better options close by.

The whole experience was awesome! The place was very clean, water was hot, mattress comfortable. The washer and dryer in unit. Everything was supplied to include laundry detergent and dish soap. The coffee in the lobby was convenient and better than most coffee houses. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

I often stay at YEHS as the hotels are clean, comfortable and conveniently located as well as simple and easy to book. The staff are always really welcoming and knowledgeable which, overall, makes the stay away from home enjoyable (even when travelling for business).

It was a central property and the city centre was easily accessible (walking). I attended for the Sydney Marathon and this property for very close to the EXPO and both the start and finish line. Staff is helpful and cordial. What I didn’t like was that the room was facing directly onto an office building as not sure how much privacy one can have but the management assured me that no one can see in unless the lights are on. The extension of the check out was slightly confusing but also very stressful as different people were saying different things. At the end out of the 2 hours extra I paid I only managed to use 15 minutes after completing the run to get into my room to shower and re-pack, as getting back took a lot longer due to crowds. I think that 10am check out is slightly bad especially as checking in is not until 3pm. Saying this it was a lovely stay here and the staff were as helpful as possible.

There was only one lift working. This was to be used for guests and the cleaning staff. Small hallways with linen bags everywhere in front of the lifts. Waiting 5-15 minutes for the lift everytime. I did not stay for the period I paid for. I went to another hotel

Designer was thoughtful - plenty of electrical outlets some needing no adaptor for our North American gear. Extra sheet with duvet which I appreciate as I find duvets too hot. Lots of space in the room for two. Very central, not too much street noise, easy to get to all the sights on foot or local transport. Loved having kitchenette though we did not cook- we were able to buy breakfast fixings and things for light meals and microwave as needed. Great value for money.

Great location a short walk to darling harbour and town hall transport and shopping links. Even walkable 25mins to circular quay. Bathroom was very new but i feel more effort and money has been spent here than on the critical component of the hotel, the beds! The bed was rock solid and felt like sleeping on the floor. Made for an uncomfortable 7 nights after long days walking and exploring the city. The single staff member i had contact with was pleasent..If you are after a great location this is definitely a key choice, not so much for comfort.

It was perfect for the price we paid. Nothing to flash but nice enough for our 6 day stay. The pool & spa was a massive bonus. The property was overall clean although quite outdated so could do with a bit of an upgrade. Our only down point is that we found the conditioner had been filled up with water, and wasn’t replaced once during our stay and same with the hand soap but we generally use hand sanitizer anyway so apart from these minor things it was a great stay and we will be recommending this accomodation! The staff were extremely friendly as well
