Great Location and Good Value

This is a 3 star hotel and it does not pretend to be anything else. Great location with just a short walk to beach and town. Parking and large garden - with rabbits if you are lucky. Dog friendly. It is comfortable and clean enough. Plenty of storage in the room. Nice towels. Everything in the room worked. Free Wi-Fi Enjoyable breakfast. Indoor swimming pool is a great bonus. Wouldn’t recommend dinner but otherwise no complaints. Good value for money. We WILL stay again.

The gardens and access to the beach were amazing for dog walks or just a stroll. The pool was great too. At breakfast the staff needed to be minded to clear tables and replenish food and drinks (by customers) which had gone. Dinner options were ok but not great. The beds are very soft so sleeping meant you felt every spring in your back and side. The hotel has a lot of potential to be excellent just need some good customer service and tourism training for staff, beds to be replaced with new, food options and a chef to be employed. Average hotel as is.

Property was conveniently situated about 7 minutes from the train station and 15 minutes from the city centre. Bed was comfy and the shower was fine. Restaurant served nice vegetarian Indian food

It’s a beautiful hotel, conveniently located near the beach as well as a short distance to the train station. The room was furnished well, updated bathroom and a balcony with a nice view of the grounds (which are really well maintained and spacious). Very dog friendly, they even allowed dogs in the dining room.

Hotel cliffden

The swimming pool was very nice, not much changing room space, temperature not very warm, You have to keep swimming to keep warm. Hotel room, very dated, odd furniture, had a twin room both beds you could feel the springs in the mattress. Bathroom dated, seen better days, functional and it worked. Breakfast, was ok but dont eat the scrambled eggs. Brilliant location the beach at the bottom of the gardens, local transport links near by.

Lovely ground and staff, let down by the room, shower very weak, no bedside lights and not particularly clean or well presented room - have to ask for the room to be cleaned by 10am so not great if you are looking for a lie in or need to do some work. Swimming pool and views from restaurant are nice.
